Hi im new and i need serious help....

ok so i downloaded the international mugen tournament screenpack (blue) a while ago and im getting all confused on how to install a character. i have my character files in the character folder, ive set the the name inside the notepad, hell i have even set the IMT thing so what the hell am i doing wrong? i kept rebooting the game with the character i put in there and i dont see him. i have read some of the forums you guys had here and got confused by the computer language (I AINT NO PROGRAMMER.......yet) but i am willing to learn this stuff. with all of this said what do i do???

For future reference, posting in the configuration help forum would be the place to go for this type of stuff.  Questions there usually get answered fairly quick.
