High res Saya sprites WIP

So I'm not sure if you have noticed that I have not released any 3D levels in the last month or so,  and I have decided to reveal my latest project..  High res Saya sprites unfortunately I am not the type to code a character but I am creating these sprites in the hope that someone else will.  I felt that the sprites in Nitro Royale did not do Saya justice so with the help of my drawing skills as well as some pictures of Saya from the original CG ( only the face and some of her dress are from the original, i have redrawn the rest of her dress and animated it from one still image and have done all the conversions of her face, redrawn her hair to fit, etc)  I have so far created her idle animation and crouch animation and am working on her walk animation at the moment.  Anyway without further ado I give you a peek at a couple of her sprites:



Her scale is be based on the guilty gear sprites, the character who I used to scale her is May.

Those sprites are amazing.

My only questions and concerns... will her FX also be h-res?

Well there is no way that I would want my sprite used with low res fx so when her sprites are completed that wil be next.
First I was like: -_-

nice work. cant wait to see it better in my computer. i am on my  ell atm. so you said its the same size as may? hope you pull through with her mel needs come characters to interact wifh lol.

i lookes at it some more and noticed some things. well mainly her shading on the legs. i have to look at it when i get home. also, watch it whe  shading like ggx. i found myself over doing it on my first mel. if you want, when i get home ill look over it and post up an edited version to show you what i mean. but she looks really cute. i wonder if shes to young fir mel to date lol. so im going to sound stupid, but where is she from again?

Just an update, work on her face is progressing and I found i just had to add a possibility for compatibility with a certain super..



I feel I should work on her face so that I have a choice of head for certain sprites, this makes it easier to animate and work on sprites.  I apologize if this is taking a while but what with designing models for a game I want to produce, L4D, teaching and making sure that when I work on this i am in the mood it is taking a while.

LOL, the topics title fooled me cause I was expecting something like BrokenMugenHD invading the forum again.

So far, I like what Im seeing. Keep up the good work. BTW, for the sprites are you scanning them into the computer or using a PC tablet?

I have some of the CGs and then I edit them using a pc tablet, cg drawing is one of my hobbies which I have been doing for a while.  for example her hair is all me, I wanted good looking hair that would use the same colors so all of my sprites have a specific set of colors, the dark skin tones can be used for her fleshy attacks later which will be hand drawn and animated using the tablet.

I can't update the pictures yet but Saya's walkcycle is looking pretty decent I must still added two tweeners to smooth it out, but it looks decent at the mo.
