Hi-Res Custom CVS Groove Bars

Takato's work got me to thinking about my own signature set of Groove bars.

I've tried to replicate the look of each Groove's inspiration when designing the new bars: C-Groove and A-Groove are from the Z- and V-Ism bars in SF Alpha, while I based the P-Groove bar on SF3 2nd Impact's superbar, etc.  I also plan on extending past CVS to invent Grooves to represent other games or systems, as Takato did for X-Ism.  Melty Blood comes to mind, maybe Guilty Gear, BlazBlue or SF4... who knows.  Recommendations are welcome.

Get the spritesheet here.

Wow those look freaking tight. I like what you did with K-Groove, because I'm a C-Groove freak. Also, C-Groove SOOO reminds me of SFA3, looks really nice.

They look better than the original CvS2 bars in my opinion.

Finished for now.  Included B-Groove, based off the BlazBlue meter.

Good to see people like 'em.  Any suggestions for new Grooves?  By the way:

B-Groove:
Builds meter by dealing and taking damage.  Each of the four chamber forms 25% of your meter.  Lv.1 Supers cost two chambers.  Lv.3 Supers cost four chambers.  Additionally, at the cost of one chamber, you may execute a Rapid Cancel; the animation of a special move can be cancelled by pressing both Heavy buttons.

Other Features:  Run, Air Guard, Counter Attack, Long Jump, Safe Fall, Super Cancel.

Doesn't C-Groove already constitute that?

Sort of - there are a few differences between SFA and MvC style gameplay, though the latter doesn't really lend itself well to conversion (especially considering that MvC characters are only somewhat balanced against other MvC characters - pitting Cyclops against even the horribly broken Geese Howard is pretty damn one-sided unless Geese is given some sort of huge-ass advantage).

It sort of irks me when people go and request a groove for their favorite game - these are CvS Groove bars, so the grooves are obviously based off of systems from either Capcom's or SNK's games. The best way to do that would to go with the EX Groove, it being a custom groove and all.

These look pretty nice, though the A-Groove bar could use a little more work (the slant at the halfway point should be longer and less steep, right now it's barely noticeable), though it's mostly a personal thing.

To be fair, this time I was the one asking for suggestions.  I was inspired by Rei's CVS Mukuro character, where in addition to the normal EX Groove, he had a W-Groove for the Warzard mechanics.  I'm aware Warzard is a Capcom game, but I still thought it'd be interesting to see other games outside of Capcom or SNK get covered.  Having said that, I do realize I hadn't thought of EX Grooves.  I'll get right onto that.

Of course, unless I say otherwise everything I produce is open-source.

Good to see people like my stuff.  Added F-Groove to cover Street Fighter 4.

A Darkstalkers 1 rehashed bar would look nice (you know, with the word 'Special'). I don't anyone made those.

Dammit, it was necrobumped by alexlulz. :(

it wasn't necro bumped.
I wouldn't consider that a infinite since you have to make your opponent bounce of the wall and if you do it on the wrong side of the stage the stage interaction would activate.

Sorry, missed your message.  You'll have to split up that one picture into a seperate piece for every part of the bar you want to use, then crack open the .sff file for each character and replace the respective parts.  Of course, my setup isn't a perfect match to Warusaki's, so there would be things that need fixing amongst the characters' code as well.  Beyond that, to be perfectly honest, I wouldn't have a clue.  I just don't know MUGEN well enough.
