can someone elaborate on where to put the files from the portrait cause I dont know where to put them....
How long ahve you used MUGEn? In any case there should be tutorials on how to place them on each character.Look for one in youtube and if you can't find one, come back and I'll try and guide you through the process
I've played mugen back in the day on windows ME but its alot different now so this adding portraits stuff is new to me and I've check on youtube and I couldnt find one

ok I was just looking through some of my characters in my char folder. Some characters show the full body while some show just their faces like the pics from the character select screen.
thats not bad or good (well, it's good )now download some portraits for one of your characters (I pry its orochi )and open your character in FF
Ryu.. that gay bastard Anyways click on the sprites and on the left side of Fighter Factory you'll see a bunch of icons.There is also a Group and Image and Comment.We are looking for Group and Image.Using the scroll bar on top of Comment, look for the sprites that are in the Group 9000 And Images 1-7.Do not change the number of the group simply rename all the sprites to Image 12. (not the Group, the Image!)
Ryu is the man, anywho, sorry its taking so long to reply had a important exam to study for this week but I was following your steps but I wanted to know if you where talking about the icons on top of the comment bar or the group or image text bars below the comment bar??
group and image text bars below the comment box use the find icon (on top of comment box) to look for the correct group and image sprites, (group 9000 and images 1-7)
so do i go through sprite 1-1200 to see which one I want to use becuz i typed in group 9000 and img 1...7 and nothing happened
well if nothing happened... wait you typed 0-7 all together? if so look for them one by one.if they don't come out (really rare) go ahead and add the downloaded portraits and place them to their according group and image.Ex: Group 9000 Image 0 (appears at the end of sff)
your working for character select (image 0)Select screen large portrait (image 1)VS and Win screen portrait (image 2)Lifebar portraits [single, simul, and turns (images 3-7)]all images are to go in group 9000I hope you understood what i said
it makes sense, but do I use the image thats already at img 0, or can I use another img and replace the one original one??
never replace, just change the image number and then add I'm taking a break from making portraits since I'm spriting my first character Please keep them portraits coming!
