How can I make Freeze effect?

hi everybody
my question is about how can I edit sprites for make freeze effect
like this

before After

I want to do the same, but with this image



is posible in photoshop?  ???

i don't know anything particular but it's probably safe, to change your background to black then change to greyscale.

After you do that you'll just have to play around with some colorbalancing/hue&saturation and/or using some filters, I recently tried to mimic something like that and it took me 10-20 minutes to get it exactly as the image i was mimicking(as far as the eye can see). But then again, that was PaintshopPro and that's much easier to use since you actually have the option of seeing what your doing.

Liquify possibly?
i think we should call it an "engine" so we don't look like total idiots because otherwise we'd be arguing about a "game" and that would be somehow "dumber" than arguing about an "engine" on the "internet" for countless hours

Wouldn't it be easier to freeze Kitana on the real game and then rip the sprites from there?

In any case, if you're not a pro at Photoshop (and I assume that since you're asking if it's possible to edit the freeze effect), I'd suggest simply applying a PalFX effect.

the problem is I not need only chage the color
I need to make like is frozen
that is for the eternal ice fatality
