how to do a good voiceover for your original mugen char?

this is what I'm starting on with my new char that's coming out. when I hear my voice it sounds unclear and less loud.
 what i use is a headphone mic , so what'll I do now?

Download Goldwave. You get a lot of interesting things in a very simple package. It can record a lot of different ways. After that it can add stuff to the recording, slow it down, speed it up, reduce hiss. Lots of stuff. Look into it.
