how do I increase the volume of a wav and mp3 file? and if you say use audacity, tell how i can make it louder with it.

1. Open Audacity
2. Open your file
3. Increase the 'gain' bar, changing the volume, but take care.
4. Export your MP3 file and be happy.



Or use the amplify option, as Xinos said.

1. Open Audacity and your file
2. Ctrl + A (to select all the track)
3. Effect -> Amplify

Also giving the track a really small bass boost, also helps.
