How do I put a a movie in Mugen?

Does anyone know how to break a movie into picture by picture so they can put it in mugen like someone did for the MK: Armageddon intro?

Everyone keeps asking this question lately.   :shifty:

Anyway, as far as extracting the frames of animation for video files, it depends on the filetype but:

IrfanView and Virtual Dub can do it.   
KMPlayer can even resize the images for you while they are extracting from what I hear.

Get animget..to capture the frames of the vid that you want. then use infaview to convert the frames into pcxs then open the pcx of one of the frames that shows the most colors that could be possibly used in the vid with fighter factory..and create a pallete for it.....apply the pallete you just made onto all the pcxs of the frames and import the sprites to wherever diesered and make sure not to click shared pallete

And then have a huge long animation and giant filesize. And most people will press A and skip the whole thing.

afaik you can't make an intro sequence for mugen unskippable.

Also, if someone forced me to watch a video before i played with a character (cos with fiddling in a full game environment you can do that) i'd be deleting it.

I don't plan on releasing my screenpack due to color loss but with  1,000+ characters to load on 10 year old computer the movie will give me something to watch in the meantime.  ;D

I suggest loading a movie and watching that while mugen loads then. All you're really doing is adding something else to load before loading the characters.
