How to make a character louder?

I've been wondering how to make a MUGEN character louder and i cant seem to figure out how to do it! Help would be very well appreciated!  :sugoi:

One thing you can try is opening the character's .cns file and making sure the volume is at 255:

[Data]
life = 1000
power = 1000
attack = 100
defence = 100
fall.defence_up = 50
liedown.time = 20
airjuggle = 15
sparkno = 2
guard.sparkno = 40
KO.echo = 0
volume = 255
IntPersistIndex = 60
FloatPersistIndex = 40

Sometimes, the volume on there is not always the answer. If the volume is already set at 255 in the [data], and the sound is STILL low, you may need to extract the sound files from the .snd library of the said character. Open up the .wav files you extracted, increase the volume through a program such as goldwave, or something like that. Then import the new louder sound back into the snd file of the character.

But yea, always check the [data] volume first before trying to change/fix the sounds within the character's snd louder.

No it does not


1.0's sound system is far from completion [ rumor has it it's being entirely re-developed ], IMO WinMugens is FAR superior to it [ for now ]

^ This is pretty much the sole reason why I haven't made my permanent move to 1.0
