With all of the discussion regarding plenty of great topics ranging from best characters, types of characters and screenpacks, this question is asked the least.

So. How many characters are in your roster/rosters??

I'm tipping the scale at 744.

My test mugen has 20- characters.
My big Mugen has around 250 characters.
My favourite chars Mugen has 24 characters.

My capcom mugen has around 60. My cvs mugen has about 70. My fullgame stuff has around 32 so far. And my other mugen has 70 or so. Some of those are shared between them though. I need to cut some of them

i have around 183 characters in the lightworks screenpack by gun-0, adding and replacing a few here and there.

Around 40 or even less.

I stopped keeping characters I never use so the numbers have gone down quite a bit.

*check check check* 30 even at the moment. Fluctuates as I try new stuff, get rid of old or boring stuff, and so on, so forth. I have another 13 at the moment in "storage", ones that would take me a while to track down if I wanted them back or I just don't want to bother with having to.

Last I checked I have about 600 on le UMMC Screenpack by Hloader. Some I can't use due to them making my mugen crash. :msad:

My Personal Mugen consist of maximum 40 with 18 shotos (Ryus, Kens, Goukis) whom I pick the best ones - Jmorphman, Pots, Reu, Warusaki3 and GM, KOF's heroes like Iori, Kyo and K' by Jin and Trinity Crew (Vans, Koopakoot, K.o.d), Characters that have other characters' moves like Cycloid Omega, Cycloid Sigma by Ahuron and Kuroko by Warusaki3 and finally My favorite boss character Gill by GM, My favorite Street Fighter characters Sagat by Master Gouken, H and Guile by Warusaki3 and Jmorphman.

At last count I had about 170 on my roster. A huge mash of all sorts of characters, just the way I like it. :D

30-40, maybe less. Primarily mine although i have a few test punching bags i haven't deleted yet.

Im holdin down with 40 right now. but then again i change screenpacks almost every week but the number doesn't surpass 60-70 cause i'll never use 1/2 the characters

I have 40 chars but I intend to delete and add more.
I'm filtering out chars that will stay/leave because my screenpack holds 68.

Preference. There is no wrong or right amount of characters to have in a roster.

Say if you download a Ken by Hero but then can't bear to remove Vyn's POTS, JMorphman's, GM,s, Lord of the Flies or evn N-Mario's.

If a character plays well I don't remove it. I just search for a bigger screenpack to accomodate it.

If a character makes the transition to Mugen 1.0 but then fails to work I either remove it or start a help topic to fix it. These code fixes I also will use to avoid these issues when I get round to coding my own character.

I often find myself removing a lot of MvC2 style characters made over at Brazilian Mugen sites or CvG simply because the characters are released too early with many sprites missing making them quite unplayable.

But if a character is playable and fun I'll keep it.

This is why I have so many characters.

I don't have a mugen game right now.
But I've got some kind of Database on my HD with the chars sorted by Game in different Folder and each char has an animated gif of his/her stance so I can better identify them. Later on I've planned to sort them spritestyle wise and put them together into different compilations for myself.

Just don't ask me why, but I got in the collecting chars mood the last time  :P
Collecting doesn't exactly mean to keep each char in my case, but some shit is in there aswell.
