i just got mugen and i would like to play mugen with no sound or whit no background music, how can i do that???

Options -> reduce the wav/midi volume values, that should do it.
If you find that longwinded or it doesn't work for all sounds go to MUGEN/Data, open mugen.cfg with a text editor, press Ctrl+F and search for "sound config". Then scroll down and change the wav/midi/mp3/mod volume values to 0.

thx, really work, but what the chars say in a fight still sounds, who can i turn that down a little from mugen.cfg or something like that???

The only other way I know of lowering .snd volume is to open the character in Fighter Factory and manually lower the volume of each sound, which is longwinded.
