Feel free to move this topic to the correct section if I've posted in the wrong section

When I'm not doing something important (*cough* *cough* CvS Kyo XI), I'm doing random shit in digital art. Now I'm trying Color Separation, it's looks way too fun, even though it's tedious.

So for my first try, I decided to try a CS of XI Shen Woo (cuz' he's CHINA'S GOD OF WAR ):

How is it for a first try? Is it CS'ed enough? I'm not the greatest at this, so I decided to see what you guys think. Let me know, cuz I wanna go on with this. Hopefully.

PS: I know the animation is weird, but bare with me anyways.

Is it CS'ed enough?

It really depends on your tastes, other CS'ers like me and Girard tend to take the CS'ing to an extent. But that usually leads to loss of motivation since sometimes it's just too much.

The CS on Shen Woo is impressive, I like what you did so far on him.

Thanks! And by taking CS'ing to an extent, you mean doing what you did to Thanos on your avatar, correct?
But I guess your right about what you said. I'll take that into consideration if I decide to continue this.

Looks cool.

Yeah it really does depend on what you want, I like simpler separations. CSing can be tedious (especially those '96 sprites, aye what a pain), but the result really pays off when people are able to fully flex their paletting muscle.

Wish I was more dedicated to CSing. It's not so much hard to stay motivated, more that it's I try to juggle way to many things at a time.

The only thing that it would be missing are the arms and the marks in the arms to be the KOF XIII separation. I never found the arms separation quite appealing to be honest so it works very well the way it is right now.

With KOF sprites sometimes you will have to make a healthy guess to separate some parts, hopefully those arent much with Shen´s spriteset. Good luck :)

Do you mean those weirdo tattoo markings (dunno if that's what they are) on Shen's arms from KoF XIII? Actually, I'm pretty sure they were on the XI sprites, and that they're separated. Probably gonna look at it again to make sure, though.
And actually, this sprite set doesn't seem overly complicated to me, considering this is a SNK sprite sheet. But thanks! :D

Yes, those tattoo markings and yeah, they´ve been present since his introduction in 2003. Pretty sure those marks were shared with the pants but you manage to separate those then thats cool.
