Hello,

Another poll, this time this isn't an accurate vs edited char poll, this is a hybrid vs pure

A hybrid char is a char mixing moves from several games, for example a Kyo that has moves from 2002UM + XI.
A pure char is restricted to the moves of only one game, for example KOF2002 moves only.

Make your choice.  :)

I do prefer good chars too...

..but I always been a fan of mixed fighters. I respect who don't like, but I never liked too much direct/pure conversions.

If the movements are not redundant a hybrid character is ok to me.

better to have groove select rather than oversaturated moves in one char.

If it is mixed moves from several games of the same type of series, then I say definitely hybrid. For example, if you're going to make a Versus series type Spider Man then you might as well give him Crawler Assault, Maximum Spider, AND Ultimate Web Throw, as opposed to say a strictly MSH VS SF version. Because really, sometimes fighters in future sequels of games tend to make previous versions obsolete, and if not..why not implement what was missing from previous sequels? (For example, a 3rd Strike character that is missing something from Second Impact.)

Its just a matter of personal preference when it comes to Super BGs, sounds, etc.

I agree with this statement.

I think waruzaki3, H", GM, mugen9, etc are doing it right.
They're doing pure grooves AND a hybrid groove. You win on accuracy AND all-in-one fun.

They're certainly not easy to do, but they're the best IMHO.

  • and the show goes on
i want hybrid, they have more variety in them, being characters that do have the capability to have the moves the char makers love the most and adding something special in them.
made of ripped hearts waving far away,
only my memory stays still, as i say.
Looking to sky,
oh, how many people wished to fly?
i don't know,
beacuse life's harshness is a mainpart of god's show
