Hey everyone! As you know, HDBZ has grown to have quite it's share of fans, though there's one thing that has been a bother to most: THE AI IS TOO HARD! The whole point of dubbing it HDBZ was to make it known to more casual fans/gamers, and they get severely punished by the unforgiving AI that Goku, SSJ Goku and Vegeta have been given. This AI was coded by Infinite as as most of you know, he's not been around a whole lot lately, his personal life keeps him from spending much time here. So, what we're asking is for someone who can code AI well, and is up for digging through the files of previously mentioned characters to search for Infinite's AI and tweak it so that it's not quite as unforgiving, agressive, and overally hair-pulling annoying for casual gamers (and at times, more adept players too).I will stress that the characters MUST REMAIN WINMUGEN COMPATIBLE for reasons.SSJ Goku actually has an option in his config. that allows users to change the level from 1 to 8 (though personally I don't notice any difference), it'd be nice if that set-up can be kept (though then with actually noticing a difference between the levels). The default difficulty level would be 4.If the work on the AI is approved/appreciated, we still have Gohan that is still AI-less, as well as Freeza and later, Majin Vegeta, when both of those are finished.Should this appeal to you and you are adept at coding AI in such a matter that it's still challenging at times but not quite as hyper-agressive as the current AI, give us a pat on the shoulders and we'll see if we can work things out!Yours,Team Z2.
I just deleted my post because I thought you were talking about AI levels on the option menu. While you were talking about the AI levels in the config file. They're two different things and I misunderstood that. And nevermind the question about your version of Mugen.
I'd like to know, if i set the settings at lvl 8 after its re-coded will it still be as powerful as we see it now? because i kinda like the fact the CPU beats the !@%$ out of me instead of the casual me winning 10/10. or will it be weaker in every level compared to now ?
Nope what you said is pretty accurate, we'll try to leave the highest level, 8, around the same level of challenge it is now, that's the idea.
man i love challanges well bath why dont you try ask kamekaze for the AI since his AI iof his characters is from average to god tier for some reasons

Kamekaze said, October 10, 2014, 05:58:18 amAI levels in winmugen don't work. We're talking about an "AI level" in the config file of each character, using a variable (as Muteki used to do on his GGXX chars, or GM's SF3 characters).Wizardpotomus said, October 10, 2014, 05:26:29 amCybaster isn't available to code the AI?I really don't have much time to code nowadays (hence the lack of progress on Frieza). However, even if I had time to code, I wouldn't code AI for Winmugen. FOR REASONS.
