Well, the green ninja was our... "red" herring... More like green herring in this case. ;P

Now, on the PROPER REVEAL!!!




Not having enjoyed the role of damsel in distress, Jessica Haggar asked her father to train her in the ways of pro-wrestling.
Two years later, she joins the Street Fighter 2 tournament to test her skills.

She was designed by @[Judas] with an Ultimate Warrior motif. :D


She is being sprited by @Rolento based on that design.





She will be a grappler of moderate power and speed to balance with her father, who is a power based grappler.
We hope we can make her justice with this release.

Aye, I will provide a palette template in the future, when work with her is in a more advanced state.
She won't be very colour separated to allow actual costume variations like shorts or a more cut tank top, though.
Rolento already has a ton of work on his plate, and palette separation would raise the cost of the sprites a fair bit as well. :P

Okay, a small update on what we are working on these last few days:

1. Defined that the priority on the spriting work is: Jessica, Cammy, Haggar
2. Started taking auditions for VAs for Jessica. Soon we will have the name of the talent that will voice this brat girl. :)
3. Eli has been rocking some awesome remixes for us.
4. I've been tweaking attack collision boxes on all the characters to make cross ups easier, and to give certain attacks on each character priority.
Until now, SF2Nes used Mugen priority system with CLSN2 overlapping with CLSN1. Now, certain pokes and attacks will have CLSN1 areas that won't be covered by CLSN2, making them have priority over other attacks.

To compensate for that, I will be looking onto recovery times, frame advantage and so on to try to make SF2NES a wee bit less broken.
Can't make it fully balanced, for SF2Nes requires a certain level of brokenness to work. :P

This will be, of course, tested and if needed, will be undone or tweaked further.

Within the next few weeks, we will be sending some random people of our trust the latest build for testing to assure that the game isn't fully balanced and Guile is still the most broken character in SF2Nes history. ;P

For this version, quite unlikely.

Adding him would involve increasing the budget for spriting and finding another voice actor to record his lines, which would also increase the voice over budget for this lil' project.
Maybe for the 10th SF2Nes anniversary come 2015 I will put a larger budget towards this that would allow for green ninjas to be a part of the game.
