uugh, that's not how the word bootleg is always used. Some times you have to be in the country to get the complete gist of the slang. I could have said mugen isn't legit but for most people that translates into illegitimate and not what it's supposed to mean.

bootleg can mean or be used to describe= Amateur, unprofessional, screwed up, half working, ghetto shit, not up to standard,
fixed with duct tape, half-assed, wares.

illegit is all the above plus + Chinese made alternatives to commonly know brands.

Sarcasm is saying something, when you're implying the opposite.
Irony is when something happens either after you tried so hard to prevent it but left something out, or more likely you do something bad to someone then something similar (or otherwise bad) happens to you, like you steal someone's car then when you get home, your garage burned down.
