Ever play someone in a fighting game and when they lose, they give you some ridiculous excuse why they loss? Share it!

The biggest one I hear when I play my friend in Tekken 5 is usually because of the controller.

Friend: "Dude, yo ass is lucky. If my L2 button was workin' like it should've I would've beat yo ass."
Me: "Fine. Let's switch controllers."

(ctrlrs swtiched. I won with the faulty controller, he lost)

Friend: "Fuck! Oh man I almost had you! Had I pulled off that one move with Xiaoyu it would've been all over with!"

I actually do play better in the arcade because there's no one to play with at home except CPU.

That one may actually be valid in some cases. When I used to play mk3 on my genesis with a friend, after unlocking the bosses I was always able to pick one faster than him, and since only one person can use one at a time it was "instant hell murder".

There is people who really can play better at the arcade version (controllers) than in the home versions, because you know, not everybody is used to gamepads/keyboards.

I've seen analyses done, and Eddie, especially Tekken 3 they say, was very cheap. I myself wouldn't know how to determine/guage that, but I'm inclined to believe it.
For me though, I'm no fan of Steve Fox (I hate that mother fucker), nor Kazuya, and Jin (Kazuya mainly but Jin can be annoying as well).

True, True. I'm more of a street fighter: third strike person. Their fighting system is more challenging to me and I like doing combos and combo resets rather than doing infinites, because if your opponent pulls off an infinite on you in MVC2, it's game, but for SF3, you can parry that shit. It's all opinion though. and one more thing. *off topic* If you want free MVC2 and if ya don't mind the PC, just get an emulator, preferably nullDC. Check your inbox.

I get that one. Then they want me to play them at a basketball game. They own street fighter games. I have never owned, rented, hell aside from these moments played basketball games. So yeah, they decimate me =p

A favorite of mine is "I was trying to remember a move!"

Which is true a lot. If I think I remember a move I keep wanting to try it. Sometimes the timings of me getting hit may be throwing the move off, or perhaps I don't remember it. So I keep trying till I know for sure if I remember it correctly or not.

It's very aggravating to not know if I am doing a move right or not =p

My normal excuse is "KoF's hitboxes are fucked" or "that shouldn't have hit me"

Although this is online, i don't play in arcades, cannot use an arcade stick for anything so i don't try. Much less embarrassing that way.

I know that when I'm on a loosing streak with a particular friend, then make a comeback (like I did in Tekken 5 today. 15-7), he always has to try to say something that would "hurt my feelings" to shadow my victory:

"Oh, it's not like it's important. I chose her because you can't beat my top fighter."

(two matches later he chooses his top fighter. I win)

"Yeah you kicked my ass.....try to kick my ass in real life. You can't even do a fucking push-up bitch!"

Wallhack is counterstrike. And quite frankly anyone who DOES use hacks or cheats to win against humans stinks badly. Using them against the AI is fine, as noone is getting hurt really, and you can amuse yourself doing stupid shit without ruining a game.

Yes, they are cheating IF they are using it. However, many losers tend to blame their sucking on hacking when the person who just owned them isn't even using hacks.

Some connections for games servers are protected from it now or have a better chance of stoping it.

Although there are a few out there that can still be affected.

Such as the Naruto: Rise of Ninja servers. They are full of lag switch users trying to get up the achivements the cheap way in the Forest of Death exam.

In Halo 3 it's like basicly pulling a ZA WARUDO and teleporting every few seconds where in realtime the player just look really jumpy.

Funny though as the Halo 3 lagswitchers usualy suck and just get killed alot faster and end up b& quickly.

Gonna use something like that, you have to use it pretty constantly, or the entire enemy team picks on you and you have no fun.

Aimbots really suck though. WTF is the enjoyment in running round automatically shooting people, even the ones you can't see. I mean, there's no fun in that, i'd get bored doing that vs the AI. Hell even god mode becomes dull after a while.

Though I didn't think about the fact Sony will stop producing them soon. The PS2 and controllers are the most fragile systems there are. It will suck when they stop being made. Won't be like the other systems where you can keep using them 15 years down the road

Well i found some cheap ones that i own at gamestop

Ignore what people are saying there fragile controllers because of the size so you must take care of them you cant slam them on the floor when your pissed off etc i have had this controller for about 3 years no problems no sticks no nothing.
(Recomended; They come with a macro button you can use to macro keys i cheat online with this

Recently, I had played a friend in Mugen. And when I had beat him several times, he had made excuses like "He's cheap because he's small" (Maxime), or "You keep backing me up against a wall", as well as one or two other excuses. Both of us will admit that neither of us are good with controllers (he was using a controller that time), but, hell, when *I* lose, I don't say much of anything other than I'm not used to controllers, but even I don't quite hide behind that excuse.

As far as hacking goes, the only MMOGame I played is Stick Arena. I only hack for fun, not to go around and get as many kills as I can. I'll even sometimes say "Hey, I'll put on the rapid fire hack, but won't pick up weapons". Basically, I have the advantage of faster attacks, while my opponent has distance.
