there are actually a lot of university classes that may consist of making games he's probably just using a shortcut and not making his own charcters

Especially since th project might be coding focused so making the graphics is not necesary.

some of those classes are graphic orientated others are coding orientated, me, I had a graphic orientated project, to emulate emotions under a few specific guidelines they needed.
