I think the problem may be due to over heat.  :'(

Anyways, I was playing mario kart wii... and then stoped playing and left my wii on for a few hours.

Then I tried playing it later, I was choosing my character when it suddenly said.
"AN ERROR HAS OCCURED. PRESS THE EJECT BUTTON AND REMOVE THE DISC, THEN TURN THE WII CONSOLE OFF AND REFER TO THE WII OPERATIONS MANUAL FOR HELP TROUBLESHOOTING."  o_O

So i ejected the disk tried turning off the wii and reinserted the disk and turned it on.

Problem persisted when it tried to load the disk.  :S

It keeps going like that when ever it tries to load a disk.

This happens for all games. (Yes even Gamecube games.)

Not sure if this will happen if I don't insert a disk.
This only happens when I load a disk, I can only play wiiware games, virtual consol games, and chanels.

I don't wanna send it for repairs since my warrenty expired and I don't feel like paying $75+.

I've tried disconnecting the power cable and waited for about 20 minuets but it still happens.

Every now and then it says something like "cannot read disk" (or maybe it was "no disk inserted")
It says "Unable to read the disk."

I don't want to disassemble my wii, I want to avoid that.  --;

I've heard of those wii lens cleaning kits, will they be able to help me?  :-\

EDIT: I guess I should also note that the wii makes wierd sounds when trying to load the disk.

I tried to keep the disk cover open and tried blowing, but it didn't do anything.

Well what about the wii lens cleaning kit?

Can they help me or must I send it in for repairs?

same thing happened to me.

After breaking the damn thing open, cleaning it, updating software and doing everything the internet told me to do, I realized it wasn't going to work.

Then I bought a 50$ USB loader for the Wii and played my games on that.
