After having been absent from creating for a long time, I decided to return to my works in fixing up some busted Sailors. The first in that category is Chibi/Mini Moon.

As with previous fixes, this will include repairing obvious glitches that have been in them for years, redoing attack damage outputs, reworking the hyper attacks, CLSN repair, and adding new FX, portraits, and palettes (Open to volunteers for palettes).

If things work out well, she should be ready for a release sometime in August.

Sorry for the late response on those. Thanks, they have been added to Venus and Moon for my next set of updates. I may ask for one for Chibi/Mini Moon as well if that's alright?

Thanks, considering the bugs she has I'm gonna need all the luck I can get.

We'll see how it goes. I have to study up on autocombos before I even consider fixing her.

Considering a possible side project, though it won't be very accurate to its source, and may require some assistance on certain items (Which I'll explain towards the end of this post).

Since the leak was put out, and the sprites and voices have been ripped, Twilight Sparkle from MLP: Fighting is Magic is being considered for a side project.

She'll have all the attacks that are in the current version (I have a feeling she's pretty much done in the leak). While she may not be 100% accurate to Fighting is Magic, she'll at least play similarly to my sailors (Almost the same style, but with 3 attacks and a special button). Once I get a decent sff going (Indexing these sprites while converting them from png to pcx is going to be a lot of fun, I can tell), I'll release it for custom palettes.

Where assistance may be needed:
Palettes (Once sff is compiled and released)
Magic system (I have only a basic coding knowledge, so that is something I'll need help with)
The book (Since it is her primary way of attacking, I don't know whether to make it a helper or what)
Throw coding and aligning (I will admit, I sorta cheated with the throws on the sailors, plus with these not being human characters, I have a feeling it'll be harder than the sailors were)
Teleport (Never worked with a teleportation move before)

Semi-Necro, but it's my WIP thread, so whatever.

Update on Mini/Chibi Moon: All effect sprites and most fixes have been completed. Opening the floor for ideas on this next part. As you may have seen with previous releases, each of the sailors had a winquote screen like in KOF XI (Used this primarily for those who prefer Winmugen until I can get to working on 1.0 stuff). However, my mind hasn't been working well with coming up with winquotes for Mini/Chibi Moon. If you have suggestions for winquotes, feel free to post your ideas (Credit will be given).

Current (Possible) winquotes:
"Didn't anyone ever tell you to be careful what you wish for?"
"Think of me as your worst nightmare, in pink!"
"Don't think I'm weak just because I'm a kid."

Hate the merging thing in WIP threads, especially if it's the author needing to post an update.

Anyway, it appears I've fallen out of contact with my original beta testers, and am in need of new ones. I have a second beta of Venus that needs testing, and I'd rather not release it to the public. Please contact me if you're interested in beta testing my stuff.

So, a new, official WIP has been in progress while I have been working on the beta of Mini/Chibi Moon. If you have seen the release thread for the beta of Mini/Chibi Moon, you probably saw a Sailor Saturn in the same image. Well, that Saturn is the WIP. I've currently made some fixes already, but need a few more things to be done. I am also waiting on visual updates (Hyper portraits, hitsparks, other FX, winquote screen) until I receive the new hyper portraits that are currently being worked on by MaxBeta. She is also in need of a new small portrait, since the current one is not really that great (Clipped face from one of her sprites), as well as new palettes. If interested, please let me know. Expect me to post a link to Saturn's SFF for new palettes soon.

Way late to mention it here, but here is the SFF for Saturn. WARNING: Due to the way it was compiled by the former author, the color separation is crap. Since I don't have Photoshop, I can't really make a decent separation patch, nor could I do a batch process on all the sprites if I only modded one of them.

Happy paletting!

EDIT: This is also open to be used to make a new small portrait for her using the default palette. I've never been a fan of what Posh did using the face from the character sprites, it seems too bland to me.

As of right now, a small amount of CLSN repair has been done, and the throws have been reworked. Currently, I am looking into making her old Silent Wall special linger for only a small amount of time, as right now she could cheap-out an opponent by using it and charging into her enemy as it stays until either it hits or it gets hit. I am also tweaking her auto combo hyper as it has a tendency to freeze her opponent after the first hit, and then nothing will happen. It may take a while, but I'm confident that Saturn will work out just fine in the end.

A prerelease beta for Saturn is on it's way. All that's left to do is rework the autocombo hyper attack. One thing I need to know before I work on that is if Mr. Fong's works are open source. I wanted to work with the code he used for his Ryo's autocombo super, but I don't want to mess with it if he's not open source.

With the release of Saturn's beta, I am going to be on break for a while. I will return to make repairs to the beta once feedback has been received. In addition, I am looking for people to help with color separation for each Sailor, currently released or planned WIP. I have had some lucky results for new palettes with the sprites running the current palette, but with so many linked colors, it greatly limits palette possibilities. If anyone is interested in helping with the color separation, please let me know, and I'll send over the sprites. Thank you everyone for your patience.

So behind the scenes I've started some heavy duty fixing for my next project, Sailor Neptune.

No screenshot as I'm nowhere near my laptop at the time of this post.

Currently, I have repaired her uppercut attack and did a bit of reworking of the CLSNs. Her palettes need work, but like my other Sailors there will be some poor color separation (Really need to find someone to help with that). Other stuff I'll list later.

I recall trying to contact him, or maybe it was Dampir I forget, and got no response, but that was back in my early years. I'll try contacting him once I get back from my martial arts class. Thanks for the suggestion C.A.N!

EDIT: Yeah it was Dampir. I never contacted Froz before.

Got lucky with Froz... Let me rephrase that. I was lucky enough to get into contact with Froz about color separation for my Sailors. It will be a while before the new spriteset with better color separation than before is released for palettes, but I can wait very patiently for this like I have new MVC1 style hyper portraits for Mini Moon and Saturn. Which leads me to the next thing here, I am looking to obtain the same thing for the last three Sailors I will be working on, the currently in progress Neptune, and the future WIPs of Uranus and Pluto. MVC1 style, original anime-style art for the faces. I have currently tried to find a decent image to use for Neptune's but had no luck (Or maybe Google Images just sucks).

Okay, I think I found some base images to use.

Neptune:

Uranus:

Pluto:
Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty

If anyone has better base images, feel free to post them here for portrait makers to see.

That's great news! I'll be ready to make a much better variety of palettes when that comes around.

It seems I´ll have work to do fixing small portraits if those color separation end up happening. Cool.
