I've seen the request section...is a really trashcan!!! Spamming, Leechers, Chatrooming, Too request!!!!NOW STOP!!!!Who wants request section closed? This poll is like a petition form!(bad english, sorry!)PS: please correct the poll to the "open" response.... i've writed "can't" but is "can"...sorry
You know, the staff is going to let it as is for now, because closing it would be against all what they're now "fighting" for.Thing is, the "rules" (if we can call that rules) is to use common-sense and self-moderation.This worked pretty well when the section was closed and only accessible by contributors or above because, well, contributor know what they're doing, and are often smart enough to avoid bullshit. Now that anybody can answer and talk, you'll get to see more and more trash. Why ? Because you can't ask people who are as intelligent as George W. Bush to self-moderate themselves. Hell, anarchy only leads to more anarchy.IMO, rules need to be set for the request section. The actual rules would work only for intelligent people, which is not the case here. Don't forget that the rules are made so that even the dumbest people would apply them : if everybody knew how to drive like Mickael Shumacher, there wouldn't be any need to put speed limitations.
And how would the staff check that ? They'd have to spend their whole time checking if people didn't request more than one creation... and the problem is they DON'T WANT to moderate this very part of the forum. Oh, and just so that you know, you're forgetting a word in your sentence :Skank88 said, August 28, 2007, 12:16:48 pmi know but there is too much spamming!

Skank88 said, August 28, 2007, 12:16:48 pmone request a day for all members...that could work...I agree with you it's going wild there. At first we thought of a system that a thread would be delayed by two days (you make a request topic, two days later it's shown), but we dropped it for technical reasons. Might need some kind of replacement for that though...

I don't see the problem with the request section. The spammers are just old members and members from other mugen boards. Many making new accounts to spam.I'll start kicking a few here and there. And it's just 1 section, why do I care if a section I will never use is chaos?
...because it sucks for people who want to make a serious request, unlike guys like kangaroo who make like one topic every three hours

Then we can simply apply it to users that are abusing the section.
I made a request in that section, but it's rather a ressource request (sprites in fact) than a character or stage or whatever is just for player.Shouldn't you add another child section in the ressource section so that people can continue requesting stuff for their WIPs without having their topic being ignored because of the thousands of other request topics around it ?
Just No Point said, August 28, 2007, 02:58:55 pmI've asked them to do that many times now =PStop asking, and ORDER them, NOW !
yeah, the Request section there is no order, not baned to the indicated and like also they do not erase his IP either (I don´t want say names). What they all want is that changes the respect of some persons (I don´t want say names too) towards the users.I knew more people that hate the Guild for that, always insults, blame of theft, is just this site that do this.I look too that one contributor of here continue insulting, this person deserved that the baned a lot of time ago.A contributor that insult??? WTF????I WANT THAT THE GUILD CHANGE FOR BETTER.thanks...
