whats wrong with watching it? Isn't that what watch mode is for??? Just because I watch it doesn't mean I don't play it. And you learn a few things by watching AI battle it out. I found out a lot from just watching AI, then I add my own flavor to it.

I rarely use watch mode to watch the AI fight. Almost as rare as me going into survival mode. And I stopped watching overpowered characters beat up other characters simply for enjoyment within 4 months of starting Mugen (I recently had an AI fight between Akaitsuki and Isabeau, but only to see how cheap Isabeau was.)

Personally, what's the point of having Mugen if one of the main things you do is watch cheapies battle? This is also one reason I don't watch Mugen videos often.

but watch mode can be used for other stuff than just cheapies. since the mugen default ai is pretty random you can also use it to find bugs a human normally would not trigger.

correct^^^

also, the main reason for me having mugen is to play VS against human opponents. Watch mode is a nice extra for when I don't have people over to play. I rarely, rarely play against the AI in mugen, and in any other fighting game for that matter. So watch mode is nice, and it's great to see AI use combos you may have not have thought of. And like what just has been said, you can find bugs using watch mode that you may not be able to trigger.

98% of the time I play alone anyway, so AI battles would bore me in extended doses.

when i "play" against the ai is almost the same as training mode, just me trying out combos.

To each their own. I like watch mode except when there's no AI for the character, then it does get boring. In fact, that's one reason I want to learn how to do AI.

Playing mugen alone anyway is boring because once you learn the AI and exploit it's weakness then it becomes boring. 98% of the time i'm playing against human opponents though so it's not a big issue for me
