Insert disk

I've owned this game for a while now (since 2000), and have never had any troubles with it. But only recently (think about several months ago), it decided to start saying "Insert disk" whenever I attempt to play it. I've tried both cleaning the disk and replacing it with a downloaded iso version, but to no avail. Would anyone have any idea as to what is happening?

The game is called Robo Rumble, if that helps.

It's possible that you will need to find out where it's trying to read the CD from. There are some INI files or registry settings which tell you which CD drive it will try to read data from but you'll need to dig around for it :/
