Video is here---> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPmL-DHj9qY

Jason Voorhees
Finished jason's cell  rendering and started the creation process. I tried to keep the shading scheme as similar to my fullgame project as possible.

Jason's evasion stance D,DB,Y

jason toss A+B

Jason Back Off evasion D,D,C

Combo 1, X,X,Z,Z

multi stab to super punch D,DF,A and Z straight after a stab

screenshots

His gameplay

So far he is a striking artist, not many combination since his power compensates for that also he cannot be toppled since hitoverides are active. compared to my other characters jason is actually quite slow (not as slow as jasons undead appearances in the movies) I went for the friday the 13th part 3/4 jason in my opinion the best jason renditions of the series.

What happens when hes hit
After a certain amount of poundings jason will stumble backwards. That is about as good as you are going to get lol

Multiple grapples and throws
He has a series of grabbing moves that are unblockable if contact is made. these include
-jasons infamous head crush
-choke
-grab and toss
-grab and stab

weaponry
-Machette
- Throwing axe/hatchet/
-hunts mans knife in back pocket
-

Friday the 13th part 3 mask

friday the 13th part 7 mask

Friday the 13th part 5 (imposter jason mask)

and stay tuned for my tutorial it will cover how I go about creating 3d characters and stages.

Also our site is in production so keep checking it out http://strides2glory.com/

You limit yourself so badly when you try to avoid variables. When you get over your fear of the "complexity" of variables, you will find yourself in a better place: A beautiful world where coding is actually fun.

Not to rain on your parade, but if Terrordrome was any indication I would not expect this project to last very long.

Seriously.

I already know about terrordome. which is exactly why he is not in my fullgame project and will be released as a individual character. the guys at terrordome got caught because they used dozens of characters from mutiple franchises and listed them under one name, so in theory they had released a game with these characters. not only that but they went public with it too. the same thing happened to a mugen creator that was planning that boxing game hajime no ippon.

that pants. hipster jason?

................. what?  --;

Sounds like you're going for a boss type character here.  That's good, cause if anybody is boss material it's Jason.  The guy is near indestructible.

Yeah he is a boss character but also has good playability for a non boss character.  lol@ the cm punk quote.

lol, nice ass? you will think differently if the mask came off. ;P yeah he pretty much cannot be knocked down. the most you can get is a stumbled.

Hopefully, we'll also see some Jason X Super moves. That he became a cyborg was just laughably hilarious. XD

Looks interesting, but i must comment on his walking animation...
he moves his arm together with his legs forward (so left arm goes forward when stepping forward with his left leg).
You should try inverting this (left leg goes forward, right arm goes back) to make it look more natural :)

Seriously.
Have you compared the design of this Jason vs the Terrordrome one?
Seeing the shots of both sources, I actually prefer this one, since it's more stylish than the Terrodrome one, that is more realistic and stiff than this one. Also TD creators asked not to convert any of their characters for MUGEN, but this one has nothing to do with them...

Back on the topic, I like a lot the renders and all the work you're making, congrats ;) what about incluide some stuff from Freddy vs Jason?? I mean, it has a lot of fighting stuff instead just horror elements, maybe some idea from there could work for your char ;)

Yeah I am implementing moves from the jason films I like. He does a lot of hilarious things in the originals like friday the 13th part 3 and 4. Also he does a thrust punch to freddy in the freddy v jason move and sends him flying across the screen. I have given that to him as well. my favorite move from him is definitely the head crushing with his hands lol. hes done that move like 5 times in different movies.

Looks interesting, but i must comment on his walking animation...

hmm, yeh I think your right. the right arm needs to sway back when his left side is moving forward. I was watching jasons walk from part 3/4 and  and when he walks he has little upper body movement his head stays in one place too. I guess I tried to capture that.

Hopefully, we'll also see some Jason X Super moves. That he became a cyborg was just laughably hilarious. XD

I actually hated jason x very much  :P to be honest my favs were only friday the 13th 3/4 and even 5 with the fake jason. 6 wasn't too bad, but then it got stupid after that.

but he does a hilarious back breaker to some dude in jason x lolol if you remember.

Are you going yo implement any finishing moves/fatalities? He seems like a character that would have one.

Looking really nice so far. Can't wait to see more.

Thanks man, Yeah I will give him something but it probably wont be like an MK finishing move. More so an instant death move that will require timing and full power cost.

pretty nice kinda stiff but nice

Thanks, jason has always been pretty stiff even in the classic ones which he is based on. He'll be able to run and dodge though like he use to do before friday the 13th part 6

Dude...

Why do you animate characters walk like Frankenstein? When your RIGHT foot moves, your body balances your LEFT arm, and viceversa. I noticed you did the same with Scorpion's Run.

"When your RIGHT foot moves, your body balances your LEFT arm, and viceversa." <-- this comment makes ZERO sense............. --;
how exactly does your body balance your left arm when your body is your center of gravity? try running, you will see that your right arm moves the same direction as your right leg and trhe same direction your hip rotates. try running and moving your arms in 2 seperate directions to your legs and hips rotation lol you will see your brain finds it incredibly hard to do since it is literally unnatural multi tasking,

second point.......................jason literally is a fucking frankenstein lololol. he doesnt walk like a normal person either because he is not a normal person

:???:
No, walt is right : when you walk, the moment you put your right foot forward, the right arm goes back and the left arm goes forward to balance the body (and vice-versa for left/right).

the walk has been changed
