Very nice release, Wolfy.
Only problem I have with her is her sounds.
Most of her voice is quiet and some of her sounds (Ex. The shotgun sounds) are louder than some others (Ex. The Grenade Launcher and the explosion of that.)
I'm also curious to find out why you used her MvC2 sounds rather than her new voice that Sean Alty used (and/or rather Warusaki used.)

I don't like that voice at all. Unfortunately her MvC2 voice rips are pretty soft, much like all of them really. Still, the voice used in Waru's/Sean's respective versions doesn't even sound befitting of a fighting game/genre imo. Sound like rips from the actual RE game itself. A shot from a shotgun would be louder than a grenade fired from a grenade launcher. I suppose I could tweak some of the sounds to be a bit softer/louder maybe. But no time soon(if at all really, cause I don't really have a problem with it.).

Really nice work SeanAltly & DivineWolf!

More voices/sound for her would be good.
The rocket flare win animation with Jill jumping up and down... Her "Come on!" voice is very annoying...

I can tell you right now that there's no way I'm making an alternate snd file or making an ridiculously big snd file with different voices. I respect the fact that some may not like some things and all, but that's the beauty of MUGEN, you can always edit something to your liking. I like the voices and am not changing them, nor am I going to make  any other snd files. I hope it doesn't sound like I'm being rude or anything, because I'm not. I'm just not going to do it.

I really can´t find anything wrong her, pretty solid release as always. IMO what maked Jill a great character in a fighting game is the zombie usage and their mix-up potential and will this version is pretty solid its movelist isn´t really inspiring to me. If I can voice my opinion, that´s it.

Thought those color separated sprites... I need them...

o_O That was quick.
Feedback (more like suggestions lol):
-Why do I feel like Acid Grenade Launcher is underpowered compared to the other versions?
-At point blank in the corner, Rocket Launcher misses most of its hits even with its immense cornerpush.
-Her juggles from Magnum Blast seem kinda limited. It feels weird that Grenade Launcher and Shotgun Blast miss P2 after the wall bounce.

-Acid grenades are the better overall option for super cancels. Because they don't knock p2 down and leave them in a slightly extended period of hitstun. Ice grenade may do a better job of leaving p2 vulnerable when they're hit, but it costs meter and is the weakest strength wise among the various grenades. You're not always gonna have meter to burn on ice grenades. Acids will be you next best choice for SCs.
-I fuxed around with that super for half a day literally. >_< In all honesty, I could see about tweaking it a bit, but, it will never be a guaranteed setup. Due to the nature of different hitboxes on all chars. In essence, that's what balances the move really. If it doesn't juggle your opponent in that way, you just have to find a better way of catching them with it. Positioning is key. An ice/acid grenade cancel works really well too.

No, it doesn't. That is intended. Use (Hyper/EX/air)STARS Charge or air Knife Slash to follow up. Or Rocket Launcher even.

No, it's just the first the GP has heard of her from me. I started working on Jill shortly after Psylocke. In early April. It just seems fast/sudden because I only just annouced her to the GP 2 days ago. Also, thanks for the support.

Congrats on your release~

The more I relook at that MB, the more I realize it's good up until the final frame where it's completely out of style and sync with the others. Oh well~ The palettes are pretty nice though! That's....all I can add here (I don't test/play characters really so...sorry I'm not as useful as I could be. ^^;; ).

I always forget about these things, sorry about that. >_<

-Magnum Blast misses point blank in the corner and from a certain distance midscreen.
-Both versions of Hyper S.T.A.R.S Charge leave Jill at even frames when blocked; that's a bit too safe for a hyper.

I'm used to how the degrading works from SVC Chaos. If you look at it from the original, and compare it to one such from SVC Chaos, you'll be able to spot the difference between the last frame and the frame before that. You could ALMOST say the 2nd to last frame IS the last frame in SVC Chaos terms oddly enough, then it becomes cartoony at the end.

But you're welcome~ If you ever need to find anything else, just drop me a call and I'll see if there is some such thing (or just let you know if any exists), since I generally have access to most of these things~

Haha, I love it. First half of the first page is dominated by discussion about her voice. I actually used the voice they're talking about and people complained "Why didn't you use her MVC2 voice? The one you used doesn't sound good at all!" Followed by some more complaints about how she doesn't use her zombies and stuff which makes her moveset uninspired, even though tons of people felt the same way about the Zombies/Dogs moveset and that she should've used more weapons, which is what made us want to change it in the first place. o_O

Lol! You know how it is man. I got nothing against preference and all. I respect it, but, if one has a preference they should really be the ones to apply their preferences. Regardless of any of that, thanks for allowing me to use your great Jill as a base.

It's not so much complaining, as it is more so personal preference. Which I said, I respect that and it's fine. Though, if they have those preferences, they can be the ones to apply them. That aside, thanks for the support.

No problem, I just thought it was funny. Congrats on the release, feels really, really solid. I was about to go over to VAA and VAC to find voice actors for Blaze and Lynn since the original one is unavailable, maybe I'll see if I can get a good one for Jill too. Then if anyone wants to use it they can make a sound patch. Regardless, as long as your characters play as well as they do, I don't think anyone's really going to be deterred by a preference that small.
Son, the last thing you'll realize you need is what you've already got.

I actually found it funny as well. I mean, it's her voice from MvC2. I really didn't think people would be saying anything about that, as that is her source voice for this spriteset/incarnation. Maybe people just didn't like her voice even in MvC2. Don't see why though, I like it. The voices are a bit soft, but, the rips I got that Cloudius did are really low. I ended up uses the voices from XCB's Jill, because they were of better quality, but still pretty soft. Aside from the softness, which isn't that big of a deal anyway/the best that's available, Jill's MvC2 voice is great imo.

I'm not too worried about Jill's voice, though if you do get anyone to do something new, I'll give it a sample. And thanks.

Because she only has one lv1 super, that makes her feel like a beta? Well, to each his own. I respect your opinion, but don't agree at all. Arsenal just replaces the Tyrant super she has. i don't like the voice but there's nothing much more to say about that at this point. i hated the striker bullshit she had in mvc2 so i'm glad you went with something different. you could've used her strikers for intro/winpose stuff, however (unless you did and i missed it). as you can tell the only negatives i'm bringing up are mostly aesthetic because the gameplay is very good. great job

I ended up deleting all the zombies and all out of her SFF. As I wasn't going to use them, and since I wasn't, no sense in keeping them in/it helps cut down on her file size. No, I'm afraid I didn't. Sorry. :( But I did give her a few extra winposes she didn't have in MvC2. Thanks for the compliment.

The MvC2 voice is better, it's tailor-made for a fighting game character. Like, literally!

I think that Acid rounds should have yellow explosions, like the games. An actual liquidy effect would work better but I doubt there are any. But yeah, green is for Anti-B.O.W. gas rounds, not acid! >:[

also, the freeze sound doesn't really fit, I think. The Darkstalkers or KOF freeze sound might work better.

I think the voice Waru and Sean used was her voice, from RE3 I'd say judging by her death groan. Waru's Jill also had a taunt where you briefly heard Carlos' voice saying "Hurry up!"

You'd think that would be the case with her voice. It is made for a fighting game. But to each their own, I'm not knocking anyone's preference. I'm not changing her voice, though anyone is welcome to make a patch if they so choose.

Yeah, I actually looked that up yesterday with all the voice talk. Saw that her RE3, REmake, and MvC2 voice was all the same VA. Clearly she put more enthusiasm in it for the MvC2 incarnation. As you said, it was tailored for a fighting game.

I was reading into most of the replies since my last post and it hit me...

Mugen is really coming into it's own because people are getting it. What do I mean?? Before, and this goes into a few years ago, people were mainly concerned with porting over as many characters as possible. Kong did this. Terribly. Others did this, with varied and mostly good success. P.o.t.S. started things right with making characters that were very close to their source material but with a few tweaks and nuances here and there to signify a somewhat original Mugen release.

Sean did it right with his CvtW releases by taking both existing elements (Capcom characters) and his own elements (Shades of Manhattan) and blended the two of them into his own style of gameplay. Hence getting it. Divine here is doing the same thing by taking an existing character and putting his own spin on it with a little more liberty than P.o.t.S. did. With releases like this and from what I mentioned, Mugen has come more into it's own with such talent.

As said before, keep on rocking it man. Mugen needs more releases like this to flourish onward. :lugoi:
All of your Mugen Portrait needs may be found HERE.

I'd like to report two robots on the MFG forums: One is EXShadow. The other is Saikoro.
There should be a Saikoro plugin for Photoshop.

Slight bit of a thing here. The name of Jill's dash move is wrong.Your's is S.T.A.R.S Charge, where in Marvel 2,it's called "Charging S.T.A.R.S".Not sure if you did that intentionally because of obvious bad pun-thing or whatever, but I thought I should mention it just in case.

Well...yeah actually lol. You summed up what I have in mind from time to time. I usually don't try to go too far of course with a char. Though, at the same time, if something has been done pretty much over and over again, I don't think it hurts to try something different. Depends on the char and all. Thanks for the support.

Yeah, I did that on purpose because of the bad Cap pun. :P I know the official names for them, just don't like it.

Something seems to be up with her palettes.  Her eyebrows change color during her standing, crouching, jump, and walking back.  It looks like a pixel of her hair changes during her walking back as well.

I'm not too great with pal fixes and all, but I'll see if I can touch some of these up myself without any problems. If I feel it out of my hands, I'll ask someone to help out with it.

I've been playing with this Jill sense her release, and man... You did exactly what I've always wanted. Took out those DAMN ZOMBIES!! lol I always imagined her fighting more with her weapons as opposed to having random zombies appear out of nowhere. Makes no since! If there was a zombie attack going on, I doubt she'd be fighting in some tournament. Anyway, great job! I have no complaints...

MvC ice sound? What MvC ice sound there is no such thing that's why I said KOF and DS, there's no one in MvC that uses ice...
