I'm guessing they want to maintain that the show's continued production relies on home video sales doing great. If people start to think that every part being animated is inevitable, there would be less incentive for people to go out and buy Blurays and thus less revenue.

The part I'm not getting is why they think that confirming part 4 means less people buying the BR/DVDs for part 3. Unless there's a belief that people will want to wait for the whole thing, therefore not buying part 3 alone and waiting for a bigger package. But this is bogus because it didn't even happen for parts 1 and 2, they're still sold separately without any "full season 1" pack or anything. So I don't see how waiting for part 4 to come out before buying part 3 is a thing.

because part of the incentive of buying part 3 is not owning it, but rather knowing that your money goes to finance part 4; if part 4 is already confirmed the "financers" so to speak, won't buy part 3.

how fuckin unnerving was that 'next week' preview this time around though? no fast cuts throughout the episode or music or anything, just....that

i honestly really dig how they did that, even knowing what happens and how it ends, the way they pulled that was insanely creepy
