Hm.

I dunno if they're saying that it will be a small or big roster. :S

Still, it'd be pretty neat if Midler was in this with her fighting game appearance, or a different interpretation.

I'm expecting a Ninja Storm size headcount, so that roster sounds like it'll be STACKED.  And the best thing is, they can't do what they do for Ninja Storm and include literally every character in the franchise except for the only cool one, because everyone in Jojo's IS cool.

Yeah, it says nothing about barring itself to competitivity, just that it won't require you to do inputs as precise as 1/60 second in a whole combo because it's irrelevant to the series.
And that really shouldn't be a reason to worry - 30fps is not the end of the world, and even if it wasn't played competitively it wouldn't be the end of the world either.

All I did was make a generality based on what they said. Of course that doesn't directly translate to "this game is for fun not for competition.", but still I'm slightly worried. And if this game isn't played competitively at all and is just a 60 dollar anime game, well it might as well be for me; I'm not a big fan of "anime fighters" that are just made for singleplayer (Unless it's budokai because im a biased mf.), and not meant to be played with anyone. 9/10 people will just beat the game and never play it again, and I don't really want this to be that type of game. Say what you want, but that's my opinion, I'm allowed to be just a little bit worried.

....is that the Jojolion anchor I see in the logo on that page of screenshots? I'm not quite up-to-date on arc 8, but it does have an interesting cast so far. The first trailer for the game left out Jojolion, though, which makes me curious as to whether or not characters from the arc will show.

2 - Red Stone of Asia
3 - Jotaro's cap emblem
4 - One of Josuke's emblems (THe other ones being a Heart and an Anchor)
5 - Giorno's ladybug emblems
6 - Jolyne's butterfly tatoo
7 - Horseshoe representing the SBR race
8 - New Josuke has an anchor print on his shirt (He dresses as a sailor) The also has a shark belt buckle, a compass and Jotaro's cap emblem.

I think that confirms Jojolion characters for this game (Josuke's Wet & Soft abilities aren't that developed though, then again, the game comes out until next year so they have plenty of time to find out that stuff. Also I bet they have Araki's input)

Good thing they didn't say anything like that then. The only thing they said is that it's not 60 fps. What are you worried about in this ? And even if it's not meant for competition, how does that translate to "it's singleplayer only" and "people will finish it once and then drop it" ? Is it completely impossible to have online battles if it's not competitive ? How did you get all that from "it's not 60 fps" ?
The sentence "it's not a fighting game, it's a JoJo game" could mean anything and nothing.

Yeah, I recognized all eight as the symbols of each arc. I'm just surprised they're including Jojolion, since it's still in the beginning stages. Araki's input is a given. I have to wonder how much progress Jojolion can make in its storyline before this releases.

Jojolion is in a monthly magazine, right ? The game release is sometime in 2013, I wouldn't guess it can go too far in a dozen chapters - most likely less for dev time and release delay... JoJo is usually pretty slow IMO, and what I've seen of Jojolion is a lot of investigation / mystery without much action, so I don't see what it could show that's relevant in so little time. Not to mention we're definitely not seeing any Big Bad so fast.

The arrow was in part 3 and 5 though.

It would be funny to see other Araki characters in the game like Baoh, Gorgeous Irene, someone from Busou Poker, Cool Shock BT, etc. but that's wishful thinking.
