Here's my attempt to sprite kakashi. This is my very first time actually spriting something ever. I visit this graphics forum all the time and when seeing all the nice sprites people come up with, I've always wanted to see if i can come up with anything nice. For this one I used Joe's sprite to edit. But the vest is pretty much from scratch and was a real pain to do Also I know Kakashi wears some sort of baggy pants but i just changed Joe's leg's colors to match the pants' color. I have no clue how to do baggy pants shading so I just did that lol
Hehe yea I noticed in some reference pictures that his hair goes up higher too instead of swaying to the side that much. I'll see what I can do about that.Anyways, I tried my hand at frankenspriting and found him some baggy pants for a stand. Not sure if I was able to proportionally pull that off Hrmm sprites just seem really small posting them here, after working and staring at it for so long in a higher resolution so not sure if that is the actual size for a normal snk sprite. Do anyone else feel that way?
Looks great, the stand sprite makes him looked crooked at an angle of 10 degrees west though, and the right foot doesn't look smooth.
Yea looking at it now, it seems I 've got some stray pixels to remove from that foot. That's probably not a good stance for him too so I'll try to give him a more relaxed stance next time just like how he is in the game. He looks like he's about to go boxing lol
http://www.fightersgeneration.com/characters/eiji-a.htmland you should find this guy also Saizo Hattori form Power Instinct Matrimeele
After looking at the link you showed me Blind, I decided to change the sprite base and actually use a ninja-sque character. I used Andy though instead of Eiji At least he doesn't look like a kickboxer now hehe. I got too lazy to edit Andy's gauntlet to Kakashi's cloth hand wrap and his hand blended with the face mask colors so it got complicated But I'm getting used to editing the vest from scratch though. Also I don't know why some of the pixels got a shade of the pink background as I was editing the sprite. You can't really see the pink pixels from the post, gotta save the image and enlarge it to see.I was using Adobe photoshop to edit it. Anyone know how that happened?
