Hey guys. I am "KyleTheCreator" and I'm new here. I play MUGEN since I was 10 years old (I have 20 now) and I started to create things only now. This is very easy and I thought it was the worst thing to do. ;)

I pretend to realize a project bigger than KOF ZILLION, with the help and colaboration of all the users of MUGEN. I know that we can do this, and I will need help of spriters and coders.

My ideia is to create a game with the sprites in the KOF XII/XIII style, and this is the most difficult part, because many people don't have patience to create an entire character with these sprites. But, if ONE people pick up ONE character to do this, and a lot of people do this, the work will be most easy.

I found some sprites on Google that some artists made, like EnlightenedShadow, and I love it. But, they are just the "stand sprite", and not a complete character. So, if someone think that we can do this, talk to me and we will start it.

***MY ENGLISH IS NOT VERY GOOD, SO PLEASE, DON'T USE DIFFICULT WORDS. THANKS***

Look, I appreciate the sentiment, but you aren't going to get people to do all of this work for you by yourself. Even if you wanted to use pre-XII/XIII sprites, hardly anyone would even bother to respond, other than saying what I'm telling you now. And wanting people to use XII/XIII sprites just makes it worse. Do you know what the creators of the original XII/XIII sprites had to do to make those sprites? They first made 3D models, and then created the sprites over those models. And it took anywhere from 6 months to a year just to create a single character. And no-one who would try creating these characters for MUGEN would be paid for this either.

You can try it yourself if you want, but not only would it just be far too much work for most people, they aren't going to do all of that for one person who has 'started to create things only now.' If you want anyone to do this, you would need to provide an example done by yourself of creating a full XII/XIII character from scratch to show that it can be done. And you would also need 4-5 people doing a lot of characters, because even then, you would not get over 60 people to create characters.

I'm not trying to be cruel or mean. I'm just telling you how it is.

Hope it is not merely a palette swap!! Could you show us your sprite skills with animations like Moh Koh Raijin Satsu or Kohou Shippuu Ken (the ones that are not on the XIII spritesheet)? Or maybe an NGBC Stance in KoF XIII? I'm sure that if people see a little of what you do, people will want to join you.

For now, it seems you're just proposing the idea without knowing how big the scale of it. Make sprites it's not easy, especially in XIII style.

I'm not talking with sarcasm or something like that. If you prove that is not that difficult to make a spriteset in XIII style, people will try to do the same.

Good luck.

Yeah, I know that is not easy, but is not impossible too. A lot of people created sprites with KOF XIII Style, so, why not create a complete char?
This project could really take years as Kof Zillion, but if a lot of MUGEN Creators devote themselves to this, we can really do this.

Here some Sprites that I found on internet:

Well, I just wanna to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of The King of Fighters with a beautiful game with modern sprites. If the SNK Playmore don't create a game, I wanna make it myself. ;)

To even have a chance at getting this going is if you do the majority of the work to build interest and hype. The way you're promoting this sounds more like you want everyone to come together to make a game for you. Or for everyone I guess. Either way you still have to put in most of the work to even hope for someone to take the project seriously.

But I can do this. The only thing that I need to it are the sprites, because I'm very bad spriting. So, I can do the others things on the game.

Spriters are not a huge commodity and very busy. The amount of work needed for 12/13 style is enormous. If anything I suggest you use older sprite sets to make the scope somewhat more realistic.

I will start to make the game and the chars. When someone want to participate in this project, just call me. I will just replace the old sprites to the new.

Because is difficult to do :s

If it were easy, you would have seen many characters in XIII styled characters. You're being incredibly pretentious buddy :(

Why don't you start programming a characters with existing sprites? Like Daimon, or Evil Ash (these two characters are not converted properly). You've said that you can do the other things, but for some reason I think that you never try to code a full XIII character :P

Haha I will. The problem is not the characters that already exists. I will start to create them, but the problem are the others chars, because I will need of the sprites.

making one kofxii style sprite takes a long time, making hundreds takes even longer. if you're making a full game you should start with a reasonable goal and work from there

Let me put it this way: BloodStorm is designed and programmed better than most characters in MUGEN. Let that sink in for a moment
