Movelist (working)
Unlike last time, this isn't strictly a "best of" movelist, and is based more generally on her CvS 2 movelist. I've altered it enough from my original ideas that I feel it necessary to move it out of the original post and keep it updated here.

Bold moves have been completed.

Venom Strike - QCF+K
-EX version is a variation of the "Under Venom" from KoF 2k3.

Double Venom Strike - 2QCF+K
-EX version sends out one at normal height, and another at "Under Venom" height.

Surprise Rose - DP+P
-EX version is a rolling jump of fair height and range that auto-switches to the kicks when the enemy gets close. Juggles.

Trap Shot - RDP+K
-EX version adds a flip after the last kick for juggles. Also can juggle, but has a timer variable afterwards so you can only hit with it once, and not again, until your opponent hits the ground from the fall (or you get hit).

Mirage Kick - QCB+K (Behaves like the '98 version, where you actually see her run for a bit before doing the kicks.)
-EX version makes the last kick two kicks, second of which wall-bounces.

Tornado Kick - HCB+K
-EX version has short startup invulnerability (first 4-5 ticks) and does three hits instead of two.

Lv. 1 -
Illusion Dance - QCF,HCB+K
Silent Flash - 2QCB+K

Lv. 2 -
Illusion Dance - QCF,HCB+2K
Silent Flash - 2QCB+2K
Phantom Strike - 2QCF+2K (KoF 2k3 LDM)

Lv. 3 -
Noveau Surprise Rose - QCF, HCB+HP+HK (AoF2 Desperation Move...with a little bit extra pop.)


EDIT: Here's the real deal. DAT MANGO TEMPLATE. If someone that likes to add swatches for colors wants to add swatches for the FX, great, super, excellent. I wasn't about to try, real life is calling me to do some very important things.



Note that the text color is (purposely) shared with the last "Hole" color. Don't cry about it, just go with it. It'll work fine.

I have only one rule for palette submissions this time, because with all of the buggery I went through to get it to work out, I don't want to have to go back and tweak anyone else's submissions anytime soon: DON'T SCRAMBLE UP THE COLOR ORDER WHEN YOU SUBMIT IT. EDIT FROM THE COLOR TABLE DAMMIT.

Also, if you use imgur and you're pissy about losing your palette name, tell me in the post who it's based off of/what you wanna call it.

Intro with Joe? Actually forgot about that, so sure. Won't be the '98 version though, CvS didn't use that.

*shrug* If by some odd chance you were to do it, I probably won't use the '98 sound clip. It sounds noticeably different from her CvS 2 voice, same actress or no. (Though if no one really cares I might change my mind.)

For those that want an idea of what the FX will be looking like once I can decide whether or not I want to use that sharpen effect in Paint Shop Pro (still working on what colors I want to use):


(no sharpening here, the ones in the GFX thread have sharpening)

Since the actual separation of King's sprites only takes up 31 colors, I was thinking that FX will be split like so: one set of ~64 colors for Venom Strike, one set of ~64 colors for Tornado Kick/Silent Flash/Trap Shot.

Yeah, about that number. I blurted that out while dead tired. The current color count is 94. The offer still stands to reduce colors by merging any of the separated clothing. It's really fast and easy and it can even be done with your partially completed .sff. Just specify what you want to merge (hat/shoes or eyes/teeth etc.)





This is the index so far btw. You still have enough room to include your two 64 color special effects.

now that's some crazy color separation  o_O, it must have taken week or even months  to achieve that on all of her sprites, awesome work! :sugoi:

I did half the sprites about 7 months ago and the user that promised to split the other half never came through. I finished the rest last week.

Actual work time may be about a week an a half.

Only so much artwork of her matches her appearance in CvS--artwork from the first game and artwork from the 2nd, which are two pieces apiece. When I get a chance to find the others, I'll experiment with 'em and post the results over in the GFX thread.

Joe shows off his Muay Thai champ belt with his usual shit-eating grin; King looks at him askance and then says she's got a headache. It's funny, yeah, but as has been said the sprites don't exist in CVS.
