i love it but ... looks more like a 98 sp then 99 :P great job on it bro , will come with feedback in a few moments

Edit : well everything looks good , i love that u did a loading screen and an intro .. most creators dont bother with those ... but yeah my concern is the name xD this sp doesnt look like 99 at all

this sp doesnt look like 99 at all
As per MadkaT's regular practice, he only creates stuff from obscure KOF releases.

This one is from the Dreamcast version of KOF '98 which wasn't named 98, but 99.

I wouldn't consider that a infinite since you have to make your opponent bounce of the wall and if you do it on the wrong side of the stage the stage interaction would activate.

Is this only for the older mugens?  Because I installed this on winmugen plus and the select screen is kinda messed up.

Glad to see someone who took the initiative to convert this screenpack.

There are some negative points though:
- The NeoGeo animation is wrong, colors are wrong at the beginning. And since this is a DC version, this logo does not appear in this version.
- None of your animations looks smooth. This is very noticeable with the round announcements like if there was 1 missing frame out of 2.
- Select screen:
  * There are empty spaces at the bottom and at the right of the cells. The portraits look off misaligned.
  * You don't see the names when you select turn mode with more than 2 fighters
- Lifebars:
  * Where are the lifebars portraits? It looks like you have defined a custom standard (because enabling sprite 9000,0 displays those totally off) but there is no documentation that goes with it.
  * Simul bars look really weird IMO
  * Turn liferbars are like the single lifebars? There is no way to see the status of the characters.
- There is no BGM.

Do you plan to realease a WinMugen + compatible version?

Yes, i'm oldschool didn't like the new version or the other variants, Sorry.

I've ripped them from kawaks, and i used the NeoGeo logo only to add an "Arcade-ish" look :P

It looks good on my pc, and the round 1,2,3,4 etc counters are not included cause mugen has limitations on the anims for the lifebar, i've remade all the anims in flash ;D and them ripped them ;)

Yes, the lifebars are made for custom portraits, but you could change it to the standard as i remember it would fit there. ;)

I never use separators in my bars, i only split the life sprite, i include that only for pleasant of mugen users, cause kof doesn't have simul mode :P

The DC Kof doesn't have portraits in turns mode, only names, and mugen couldn't display them without modify everything. That's the reason.

I dunno, i only use Standard WinMugen and LinuxMugen, sorry to forget to advice some details, but well, asking your question is some stuff :P Thanks for the comments ;)

Oh, I see. I thought that it was weird since the whole conversion seemed straight and accurate, no problem about the choice then.

Yeah, these part are particulary hard to convert since those are 3D animations with transparency.

This is cause the cells have the original size and doesn't fit with the mugen standard size, if you use the original sprites from kof99 it will fit exactly :P
Maybe that you should mention in the ReadMe or let the user choose between normal or Mugen arranged size ;)

Ok, i'll make an update with the missing things and a "patch" for the standard mugen users to avoid the customization of all the stuff to fit with the screenpack :)
