This is where the problem in 2d HD sprites occur, animation...

His feet stay flat in the same place even though he's bouncing up and down.

It doesn't actually looks like you shaded the left hand on his stance.

Theres very little change in shading of his clothes even though he's moving. etc etc

In animation that would work for vega in HD would be his laugh anim, the one where hes standing strait with his arms folded. If you were to give that one a go that animation would look a lot better then his stance.

Even with all this though i still like the anim!  :sugoi:

For fixing the frame Rate , as for the hand if I leave it with the first one , he would be stiff.


As for M.bison

1) Left hand needs better shading, both biceps need to be animated.
2) Clothing crease need to be properly shaded
3) Fix Static parts
4) I need more practice in the filed of animation
5) etc. or something like that

i worked on it a bit.
it still needs to be touched up and the folds in his pants defined. but its getting there.

so far i'm pretty much just happy with the lower part of his legs.
?feedback?

resized and smoothed out the original game sprite.

cut and pasted parts of the high res sprite, then finally manipulated the two in to what you see.

there are many things that need to we fixed, worked out and redrawn. but I'm hoping to get feedback on opinions on the parts that have been completed.

try usuing the frame rate provided by BigJ and yes the motion form the legs has improved more fluid.
dont worry too much about the color consistency I will help out on that

as for animation on my side am going to try and use flash , and attempt to use a similar animation to that of Rumble Fish  or Anime type flash where Flash takes advantage of the .png alpha  giving the ilusion of motion.

Here is a test.  if you don’t see any thing from me regarding this kind of animation its either  because I failed or  some other cheap excuse     “ my dog died  --; "

However, his head is a bit strange, a bit cut off oor something like that.
The outline on his left arm seems a bit blurry too, but maybe that's just me.

Thanks again you have an eye for detail. Here is a version with a shade of the neck area and a tip of white from the shirt or uniform can you highlight the area of the arm

The translation of pieces doesn't look so good in animation, though if animated oldschool I think it may work out well.
