Crysis 3 (PS3)

It was free on plus, so I figured why not. I found C2 on PC to be pretty serviceable, so I pretty much expected the same here. While it seems like that would have been the case, the horrible framerate just kills it for me. I'm not a framerate snob by any means, and would be perfectly fine with a solid 30FPS even with a few dips here and there. The problem is, however, that this thing feels like it's constantly in the teens. Couple that with parts of the levels that are often slow to load (missing floors, for instance) and you have a game that is pretty much unplayable.

I don't think I've ever seen a game run this bad on a console before. I feel sorry for anyone that has actually spent money on this thing. Maybe I'll grab the PC version at some point.

i dont want to keep playing this game anymore, its just that bad. I dont think ive ever felt this way toward a game in recent years. How could capcom make such a bad game?
I wouldn't consider that a infinite since you have to make your opponent bounce of the wall and if you do it on the wrong side of the stage the stage interaction would activate.

Naughty Bear

Seemed like an entertaining game at first: being mean and evil to other teddy bears by killing them or driving them insane.  Fun concept.  Various weapons and envoirnment kills were fun, imaginative and down right funny . . . for the first few minutes.  However, clunky controls, repetitive gameplay and complete snoozefest story made this game fall face first into the ground and spray cotton stuffing blood all over the place.  Not wanting to play this again.

Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment [PSVita]

Ugh, this game loves to test the limits of your patience. I want to know the smart guy who thought that making normal and burst attacks do crap damage was okay. Because of that, the only way to kill an enemy without spending like 15 minutes for each one is to spam skills, and unfortunately you have 300 SP and one skill costs 100 SP, and there's only a few useful ways to recharge it fast since recharge speed is awful (and for what I've checked, the only way to increase the max SP is with skills, and that increase is temporal too). Even the .hack games did a better job in that regard ffs. And I question the sanity on whoever made it possible to be able to counter you from 20 meters of distance for using a potion with your partner with a short range attack (and it's not the only retarded hit range issue I've seen unfortunately).

Yeah, I need a break here.

Dangan Ronpa 2: Goodbye Despair [PSVita] in the hardest difficulty.

Welp there goes my run for the hardest difficulty. I could still deal with no pointer in the Gambit's Hangman since you could still use the touch screen. But whoever designed this difficulty thought it was smart that at the last part of the PTA, when you have to select the correct combination of words, YOU CAN'T SEE THE DAMN WORDS AT ALL! So yeah, you have to select at random, which means you have a 1/24 chance of getting the correct combination. If you didn't have a short time limit and limited life (as you lose life if you get it wrong and have to repeat the previous part of the PTA as some shield regenerate, which btw are also invisible), and if the order of the letters didn't change in each try, then sure, it would be possible. But since that doesn't happen, and I find it kind of bullshit that you end up going by mere luck just to pass a single moment, there goes my run.

Infamous: Second Son
I don't get the hype. Combat seemed repetitive, I'm kinda bored of the objective-based games and the "open world" is not engaging for me. I usually return to games like this and I end up liking them.

Sorry Son, your time hasn't come yet.

Dead Island: Riptide Special Edition.

I'm fairly new to first person shooters, I was recommended this game by the guy at GameStop, who also convinced me not to buy Killer Is Dead brand new for 10 dollars, i was trying to fill my love for Suda 51 while trying something new at the same time, last time i listen to someone else. Dead island's not terrible, but the environment is somewhat boring to me, the games story doesn't hook me at all, and the way you drive/turn and run really annoy the fuck out of me sometimes. I may continue it later, but i got bored of it rather quick, at first I blamed it on my lack of experience in first person shooters, now I've decided that this game just isn't that great.

Though it may not be a FPS, I highly suggest giving Dead Space 1 and 2 a try. It's third person a-la RE4, and the game's atmosphere and story is very well made.

Age of Empires 3

God I suck SO bad at this -_-
I usually play Age of Mythology because it's more simple, but man I couldn't go 10 minutes into a skirmish match with my PC without getting pissed.

Extraction is a completely different experience compared to the other games. Trust GLB: those games are really good.
Also: What about Killer is Dead? Was it good?

My friends say it is. The guy talked me out of buying it at the counter.  :disappointed:

But I love No More Heroes and I always thought Killer 7 and Lollipop Chainsaw looked real cool. Next time i see it I will be buying it.

It's a pity they removed sandbox mechanics in NMH2; I really liked roaming around the city in the first game, but for some reason I don't understand people bitched about it. I played NMH2 a bit and its not the same for me :(

I think people bitched about it more because driving on the bike kinda sucked, I enjoyed it too though. It was a lot more cool than map jumping. I loved them both though, beat them both on Wii, also own the PS3 ver.

Super Smash Bros for 3DS
--------------------------------
It would only be be proper if I 100% the game with Mewtwo once I can get him for my 3DS.
My beautiful Jigglypuff...you can take a break from all that non-stop smash running now...

I'm also under the impression that people keep neglecting data from the game, do you guys know how PotS made his original characters? He actually studied every single game he referenced, down to the core. Doing this properly requires understanding how the original system was made, not just winging it.

Five Nights at Freddy's
I started playing through night one. I needed to take a piss so I pushed ESC thinking it would pause the game. It closed the window and I lost my progress. Fuck that noise.

Thinking ESC would pause the game is like thinking Alt+F4 would do the same :P

To be fair, a lot of games use ESC as a pause button, so that really isn't an issue, but sucks to be you, man. A lot of my friends recommended the game, but I'm kinda doubting them because they also said NeverDead is a good game, and we all know how that turned out ...

CoD World At War

Finished campaign mode. So I'm guessing that this was before CoD turned to shit because it was actually honest fun :) Short, albiet, but fun nonetheless.

South Park: The Stick of Truth

The game is a bit slower than what I would have wanted, but it's actually VERY fun. The gameplay is quite solid, and it involves well timed clicks from your mouse to make moves work properly. It sounds easy, but it can get very frustrating. The jokes and dialogue are funny too IMO, though often very racist; finding Jesus was an interesting experience. I'm about half way through it (I think) and it's kept me entertained all the way so far, and I doubt it will get boring.

Rome: Total War

Sat down to play this for 15 mins, ended up wasting away 6 hours straight. Jesus Christ. It's very engaging and actually makes you think about your strategies; you have to be prepared for anything. Handling cities was a pain in the ass though. Unlike Age of Mythology, the AI in this game is actually smart and interesting. I took over Carthage with about 280 soldiers, and then 5 turns later a Carthage army with 1080 men came and destroyed me. That loss was a real pain in my rump -_-
