These threads have way more movement than most of the wips or release threads. I wonder why is that?

I have an idea for a term. Let's call them flipstick paddywhack slamma lamma doos.

Every negative term must sound silly and like a four year-old came up with it. Like nigger. Or chink.

Refering to people on an indivisual basis is always the optimum approach.

Unfortunately, labeling makes it possible for people who have no idea what the current conversation is about to join in on the fun.
Example:
"Yeah totally, Leechers suck, yeah."
                     or
"Yeah totally, Warehousing sucks, yeah."
                     or
"Yeah totally, they suck. Okay, just 5 more posts and I get another star."

Some people on these foruns have the bad habit to pick too much on individual users. Tho.
Remember Ryou? Or that other older guy with the star mark jacket?

There were people that trolled them to exhaustion at every single opportunity.

I have always wondered about it.

Why are MUGEN users so mean?

Look at any topic, and the middle 3 or 4 pages will be people yelling(figuratively of course) at each other.
If I didn't enjoy watching people fight
(well I guess that's what MUGEN's for)
I'd probably leave the discussion without posting.

It is the internet. it aids people to vent their social mal adjustments through the veil of anonimity and the "me-tooism" .

I'm just waiting for the guy that doesn't read the thread, runs in, passionately states he's a leecher/creator and his hatred for creators/leechers, and start the whole argument anew.

Just waiting for it to happen. Yep.

That has no bearing, Titiln. Mugen can be used for dancing games just the same as fighting games.

So dancers aren't as angry as fighters?
I'll look into it.
(As a part of a required protocal, I am required to tell you that the previous statement is a complete lie.)

Actually, that's a good point. Everyone always refers to the Fighting Game aspect of MUGEN (Hell, 90% of the userbase focus there, but that's besides the point) but MUGEN can be so much more. The Breakout clone and shooters, etc. on RS are more then enough proof of that.

Back on point; I assume to be a 'good leecher' (I've not been pushy about anything, I've been my nicest and most literate and I have given constructive comments where I could, but not knowing the coding ins and outs does make it really hard to really be helpful.) Truly, though, I see myself as an outsider, merely looking in. I'd like to be a creator, I'm reading tutorials and the like, and while it's complicated I think I could eventually get somewhere in the process. And I'd probably receive a fair bashing for lameness, because it probably will be, but you gotta pick yourself up and rock on. :sugoi: If you create for yourself, then others opinions shouldn't matter in the long run. Unless you happen to agree. ;)

I guess the keyword, what it boils down to, is 'respect.' If people can be respectful to one another, things would be a lot easier. But, alas, it's usually a foreign concept. So the vicious cycle continues. Leechers bash creators. Creators bash leechers. The donkey gets flogged even though it's deceased. Life's a beech.

[And while I wrote this, 3 posts. Damn]

Oh I was going to make the same point about virtual violence begetting "mean" behavior (and/or a reversed correlation) before Titiln did. Instead of agreeing, I used the opportunity for an inside joke (KFM actively promotes Mugen as a general purpose game engine, even on the Wikipedia article he owns... ::)).

Um... David (ha, you have the same name as me.)... I hate to be... I dunno, I might seem like a jerk when I say this.

But from my experience with you, what there has been, you are part of the archetype that continues the aforementioned cycle, and as you continue to do this, KFM will be the other end of the metronome, smacking it right back to the start.

I just felt this had to be pointed out.

((Also, I notice the 'ownership' thing is the exact same argument I've read on here and forums like it 100 times or more.))

So I taught you the word "aforementioned." Yeah, whatever.

EDIT: This is not a "comeback." To be more explicit, you don't know what you're talking about. Moreover, by reading my posts, you're increasing your English fluency, and I'm practicing mine by writing them.
