             is a reincarnation of Past Heroes of time. This Incarnation is a descendent of M.F.G.'s AxKingsXRevengeX's 'MvC Link' and combat style is heavily influenced by the heroes of 'Twilight Princess' and 'Skyward Sword'.<


   Now that the intro and shout outs have been given..
This is my WIP of "Link, Hero Of Time"...I decided to sprite/ re-sprite this one in order of basic movements to attacks and specials... So here's some of the the animation progress so far,, Sorry no flashy attacks yet... thoughts, comments and constructive criticism are welcome

Update:Been play testing the hell out of the character to try to balance em out.

Ice(Freezes,Cost energy)
Light(Electricution,Hyper,Cost energy)
Lie Down/dead
Progress: about 50-60% Crouch attacks,aerial attacks and Spin attack needs to be sprited next before release.

Looking good so far, but the walk is really awkward. I can't really describe it. Maybe its his legs?
Other than that, the shading on his left leg (artists right) is questionable during certain animations.
Keep it up!

His arm needs to be drawn in closer to his body and it could also use some animation IMO.
Also his neck seems to be sucked in.
Nowhere near done but certainly off to a good start
Promising indeed.
Not looking bad at all for starters dude, I'll definitely be following this project. ;)

This is pretty damn awesome. I was planning on eventually recoding AxKeeper's Link but I think I'd rather wait until you finish this one and code (or recode) it.

Thanks for the feedback...I will definitely look into the shading for future animations and eventually clean the current ones up....As for his right arm, foreseen sprites of it (mainly in attacks) will be more animated and scaled better  :dadadadaa:

A lot of the sprites shown above have the same head pasted over and over again, maybe a little more variety will solve the problem. Looks good either way, hope to see Link completed.

His arms seem really long in the stance, but otherwise it looks good. Nice to see you avoided the muscular look Axking decided on, I always thought that was a little unfitting for Link. I also can't really tell what the bases are, so good job SaturnFrost.

AMAZING!! cool job dude, but his body is to big, he is a bit more thinner, skinny but not anorexic and his pose u know its different from what im looking.

looks awesome though the stance looks kinda stiff maybe you could a bit of a horizontal movement to some of the body parts

His sword arm could use some movement in his stance. His arm looks weirdly stiff while he's bouncing. I'm lovin this project, so much better than AxKeeper's attempt.

Just a thought, but would it be possible to change the colors of the swords after image via palette? So maybe we could customize the slash to have an illuminated blue after image? Not really a huge priority but just a thought.

Sure I'll release a beta sometime in the future. Can't really say when though since hes still got a lot more to be done before hes got supers/hypers(which is usually the most interesting part of a char,for me at least).

I think the heavy kick and heavy punch look too similar. The punch looks a lot smoother in my opinion. I'd like to see just a forward heel strike style kick for HK. Something Ryuji Yamazaki would do?

The guard push, I think the sword should be held a little close to the chest, then swing out. Adding a look of more force. It looks a little weak as it is. I'd like to see it look like it's really strong and would push Juggernaut across the screen.

The left leg/shin of the throw attacks looks a little stiff.

I think everything looks great. With a little tweak here and there it'd be amazing. Awesome work man.

Thanks everyone. For facial expressions I'll look into it.I can Make Link Wink and scrunch his face when he aims the bow. And I can show some teeth/make him look fierce when he boomerang/bomb throws. For the Heavy kick it has a semi projectile like he does in Skyward sword.I'll also look into making it look a bit different than the Heavy punch.

Is there a link to test out this Link? No pun intended? It's awesome to see someone make a badass link like this.

Edit: also what is his size going to be? Will he be around the same height as Ryu or Ken? I think the proportion of this character is really important. That way it'll be easy to add him into any game without him looking out of place. Seriously though great work so far. Really excited for the final product!

This is a sprite project and since SaturnFrost didn't say who's the coder (or if anyone is coding him) the only thing you can have is the sprites he posted in this topic.
