Agreed. Also, sorry to go off-topic, but if you're finished with Link, could I also possibly request a sprite revamp from you? Thanks in advance!

completed his revamped stance everyone! My god, this might take awhile...... At this rate, we'll be done in no time!
It looks like link is having a hard time holding his sword honestly. Also the shield is spazzing out rather than animating fluidly. Also I feel like his face should be doing something rather than being completely devoid of any movement. Other than that nice try.
You dare show up and critic my work efficiently?! I'm wounded by your harsh words! ...And also kind of agree with them too...Welp, looks like I've got some editing to do!Edit: Actually, this is a rather tough problem. I'm not too good with making animations fluid... :l
Don't be discouraged. If anything, I'm sure there are spriters/animators out there that could help with tweaking it if you need the help.
Yeah, you're probably right. I'll take a look around.Actually I might know something that could work. Does anyone know of a good image site I could use, that allows you to adjust specific parts of a sprite? If I can do something like that to Link, I can adjust the position of the shield a bit better, maybe make it less wobbly. I'm looking for something like whatever this guy used on his Piccolo stance.
SuperGohanSunderland said, December 29, 2013, 04:50:29 pmTrinitronity Maybe, what's the char?Well, I would like it, if someone could update the old sprites of Young Joseph Joestar, which Capcom has used on the CPS3 fighting game "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure". The Capcom design looked rather plain, so I would like it, if someone could add the scarf from his character select portrait in the CPS3 fighting game and his appearances in All-Star Battle. I also would be extra glad, if you could also do the extra animations from All-Star Battle, but you don't really have to do the animations, if you don't want to. I just need the scarf on the already existing sprites, and then, I could try to franken-sprite new animations myself. Thanks in advance!
it's like, the sword is over animated, just have it move less, use other swrod users as reference, most of them barely move their sword.
Ha, it's cool to see that 2014 will be the year of the link I have some progress to show as well You're lucky if you're doing edits fast, I'm more than halfway there but there's still a lot to do, anyway good luck with your work!

And to think Nintendo says it's supposed to be Luigi's year. Poor guy never gets any love. Your stuff looks good so far! I've been waiting for someone to to stuff with that char. The colors were always so stubbornly connected to each other! Can't hardly fit a custom palette anywhere. Thanks alot for the pointers maximilianjenus. I'm using Gimp right now to see what I can do with his joints and stuff. Pretty tricky put I'll post more when I get more stuff done.Trinitronity, I've looked around on Google for the guy you were talking about. Is this the char you were referring to?And you want me to see if I can give him this scarf?

If I could suggest you something: Try to use the SFF of Nimame's JOJO, it has got all the needed sprites in qood quality.
Here's the (re)revamped stance. I tried to address all issues that K.E.N mentioned.Tell me what you guys think!I intend to see if maybe we can add more movement with the face, like blinking and stuff. I'm kind of thinking it would be nicer if we could speed up his stance too. Make it more like his pose in the SSB series. But I'm not sure how to do that part.
Looks good. I think having him blink would be good too, just make another set of frames for it that way he's not blinking so much he looks like he's having a seizure.
Another set? So I suppose I should make a separate place for where all his new sprites should go. And send those to you too, for when we implement them.
It's nothing too nuts, just copy the frames you want to do the blink on, put the blink on those, then add them to the same group in the SFF file as the original sprites.
Say um...kind of a beginners question, but how do you open the SFF file to view/add sprites? When I open mine with Notepad, it's just a bunch of weird symbols and stuff. I'm guessing you're supposed to be able to see the sprites right? What Do I open it up with?
