that applet does the same thing any other irc application does, if they blocked the ports he won't be able to connect either way

Rarely, but yeah.I remember the only time I used the file tranfer feature of IRC, and that when someone was patient enough to let me download Elena - Beats in my Head with my 56k.

Still, it wouldn't hurt to try it out...
the chat room is pretty quiet, and when there's something to talk about the atmosphere is very friendly, actually.next to no requests, and flamers are pretty much defeated by idleness

yeah most people there are kinda over mugen so there's nothing specific to talk about. if something interesting comes up, people do actually talk
I'm not real sharp on IRC-related stuff so if this question sounds stupid, well....I tried going to irc.netsplit.de to look up the guild's channel, only to see there wasn't any . mugenchitai, mugen.cs and the others showed up though....what's going on?

I don't know if it would be a super-good idea, and perhaps it might take you guys even more time to administrate.But.. I thought, that perhaps you could make a MUGEN chatroom? Or use a chat-service that is pretty popular (anddoesn't need to be registered like ICQ. ) What do you guys think of the idea?
