M.U.G.E.N "Destined Battles"
#1  December 17, 2007, 12:39:24 am
I would like to know from any one on here how to go about to add "destined battles" for your M.U.G.E.N characters. I have 10 battles in Arcade mode, and the final boss (Round 10) is Jedah and the three minor bosses (Round 8) are Sephiroth and some times M. Bison or Broli, and sub-boss (Round 9) is Blackheart. How would I go about to make for a specific character fight against another specific character as their "destined battle? (i.e If I were to play with Sephiroth, how do I get him to fight Aerith in the final battle in stead of Jedah or how would I get him to fight against her in place of one of the minor bosses which is Round 8 I usually fight against them?) If any one can help that would be nice, thanks.

Are you sure? I have had some one tell me this was possible. But if you say so I will have to take your word for it. But, how are they able to do that with the SF and Marvel games then? Thanks anyway.

Those are commercial games, you are talking about Mugen games.
The only way for a mugen game to have different chars at a certain point would be if all those chars were coded together and by code it decided which one come out.

I see now. You learn some thing new everyday. Too bad no codes then. Thanks.

I have one question that pertains to the character A.I. How would I modify that if I am trying to make them more aggressive?

Time, effort, patience and tweaking.

In M.U.G.E.N there is no magic button

They say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, but it's not one half so bad as a lot of ignorance.

If you wanted a Destined Battle, you'd probably have to make all of the detined battles in one "character" then have the character load which person it should be depending on who it is fighting.

At least that's what I think
