I want to make my own sprites using flash mx but I don't know how to draw using pixels. Anyone have any experience and can tell me how to do this?

I wouldn't use flash to make images.
If you are thinking of using tween...don't

You can do flash in mugen. Maxime by Ryanide was entirely drawn in flash. Works fine.

Basically, draw the sprite. Don't go TOO huge although 1.0 will accept HD readily enough. Draw it, animate it, save the frames off, clean them a bit and apply a palette (a decent palette will clean them for you) and add them to the sff. Just don't save EVERY frame and a general technique is to use erm blurry speed things to show a wider range of animation.

They say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, but it's not one half so bad as a lot of ignorance.
