Photobucket is down so I can't reuse the picture not that it really should matter. I updated Master Gen today. Stance cosmetics, hits and pauses. www.justnopoint.com/MastersXoXO
Ya go pics. Well, the last time I tried, this intro happens against Yang or Yun too, maybe it shouldn't happen against them since well, they would be already there on screen....Also O_o this kick doesn't send opponent too far, is that right? But yeah that's nothing, best Gen ever, congrats dude.
As someone who mains as Gen in SFA3, all I can say is have you even played as Gen before? None of the specials behave as they should (ie: the Hyakurenkou is supposed to be performed by tapping Punch repeatedly ala E. Honda's Hundred Hand Slap. You have it as a QCF movement). It feels as if you just took some sprites, tried to guess what each one did, and paid no attention to the game in question. If you wish to respond to that with a "HAHAHA FUCK YOU" here's some feedback that's universal.- Style switch with three buttons by default is a bad idea. At least have an alt CMD for people who are using keyboards.- Ignoring the fact that Yun and Yang have nothing to do with Gen and don't even show up to fight outside of the intro, why do they not have unique palettes?

I see myself borrowing code from Pots' Honda everytime he updates this Gen . Laquak,...I'd probably put out a Kanye phrase upon every mugen creator out there that already converted Gen, cuz yours is really the best, but...Get with the program, buddy!!! Jango said, January 21, 2010, 11:50:46 am- Style switch with three buttons by default is a bad idea. @Wolfmage.Thanks for the pic I appretiate it. Photobucket was acting up the other day. Yun and Yang on both sides if Gen is both p1 and p2 I never really took one out or the other. Figured mirror matches won't be that big a deal + they don't do much just jump back but I get your point I could remove one or the other. I thought Yun and Yang and Gen shared a story line but I found out they don't but the sprites were already in so I said to hell with it lol.As far as kicks, or all of my attacks really never push p2 back because or the chains I decide to go with so p2 usualy feels stiff on pushback.@JangoHAHAHA FUCK YOU Nah I am just kidding, you're cool with me man. I do play and main with Gen on SFA2/3/3Max on consoles and PSP Go. Gen is my only unlocked character in SF4 aswell and I learned the charcter thoroughly. Pretty much what Collest said. If you take a look at my Master Chun Li, Lightning Kicks are also QCF+K and when all 3 are performed you can do Hyoukusen. Same idea with this Gen. When all 3 Hyakurenkou are performed you can do Zan'ei for that mean combo . With my characters I only play on my keyboard so 3p or 3k works alright on my end. Here is the real reason why I chose to use QCF's for Tap like moves. Not because I can't code it properly but because when I a character performs the move and hits nothing it like "hey look at me I am standing on one leg and doing a bunch of lighting kicks or a bunch of hand manuevers and I am hitting nothing" Sure, only do it when in a combo but I guess it's how my logic works heh. So thats why I did what I did. @MaxNo time to make AI. Maybe when new Mugen comes out and I have a bit more time. Still not that important *shrugs*

MaxBeta said, January 21, 2010, 05:31:19 pm Gen trained his twin nephews Yun and Yang for a while when they were youngJust looked it up. Apparently that was a translation error on the writer's part in the Udon comics version, so unless you follow the plotline of those comics, they have no relation.Unless Udon IS now canon.

Would have been cool because I can see somebody like Gen mentoring the guys.@supergarrochaWell in real fighters, say with Street Fighter for instance, I usualy refer to Gouken as Master Gouken. In Mugen it's just a prefix but it does serve a purpose for the play style a creator chooses. And to all, thanks for the replies and support. You guys are pals If all goes well and planned I would love to make Master Yang with CVSNB sprites with new Mugen.

That you didn't change anything?
Well I wouldn't say SF3 persay, just fighters in general. Like my friend who mains Gouken in SF4. I always call him Master Gouken because he knows everything he knows about the character and plays right and Gouken is indeed a Master because of his craft in his fighting technique. I also belive that if you beat Gouken as a secret character to unlock him with Ryu when Ryu wins I belive he says something along the lines of "Master has returned" in his win quote. Say you go to an arcade and everybody knows you there and the character you main and as a joke/seriousness you will hear people say stuff like "oh here comes Master X" X is the character you would main that you play a quality game with that character. In Mugen terms the prefix can work in different ways also. Like P.o.t.S's Master Ryu has 3 different modes I belive thus P.o.t.S decided to call him Master Ryu because of Ryu's special play style. I call my characters Master because of the chain combo's and tight super cancels I've set up so if a player wants to learn how to play with them he/she will have to Master them. Just like that. It's a cosmetic in a name thats serves a joke/serious meaning depending on how you view fighters.

I didn't know the of going to an arcade and calling your main character a master because in arcades places i never speak English, because in my country we speak portuguese. So thank you for letting me know all this, and for taking your time to explain me what a master is in all places, and especially how it is used in Mugen terms.
