Alright so apparently Sennou Room's Hisui was hit by a takedown again, and I feel compelled to give my 2 cents on the issue: what exactly are we losing by contacting Ecole directly and confirming whether or not it is them?

Current scenario: Someone claiming to be Ecole is issuing copyright takedowns of Melty Blood creations for Mugen.
 
Possible outcomes from contacting Ecole directly:
  • Ecole was not behind the takedowns, and tracks down the guys responsible while letting us continue with Melty Blood stuff. Mugen Communities win
  • Ecole was behind the takedowns all along. Nothing changes.
  • Ecole was not behind the takedowns, but becomes aware of Mugen's existence and begins issuing takedowns of their own. Nothing changes.

TLDR; we have nothing to lose but everything to gain by contacting Ecole directly. I don't see why those affected are afraid to contact them for confirmation (aside from the obvious language barrier)?

I don't see what makes you think that Ecole would give a shit if you told them that someone was using their name to take stuff down off the Internet. Also, it's pretty much a given it's not them, the mail address being wrong is a dead giveaway.

yep.  The prime e-mail I see for them is a webmaster e-mail.
