okay after so many months of playing on mugen and now i think its my turn to make a character

As the topic says im making megaman X (Snes Styled)



(OMG Custom stance!!!)
as for only having the standing sprites done i shall carry on with more sprites later (attacks ect.)
just depends on what the videos on youtube say.

tell me what you think

TINY UPDATE:
done the jumping and walking sprites (thats quite quick for me ;))
as i would say hes about....5-ish% done

I would hope that this would be not just a shooting character. I know X has some punching sprites in some game. Maybe you should make use of them.

thats what im planning to do :) im not making just a plain boring megaman with just shooting im adding punching also ill be putting a lil surprise as a special move

it will have shooting aswell OH and also the z-saber (need to know how to do megaman chargeing up shots)

My character cant hurt the other player
ive done all the attack and get hit boxes on all the sprites i have at the moment and for some reason it wont hurt the other person
also mugen keeps getting errors when i load megaman X up
may i have help?
(remember its my first time)

Make sure you have a hitdef and a trigger.  A common way to hit the player is to put an animelem trigger.  You can read more about that in the docs.  I recommend using Kfm, since its your first character.

For example,
[State blah]
type = hitdef
trigger1 = animelem = 4

That means that megaman will hit the opponent with the 4th sprite of the animation.  Also make sure that you have  a red clsn box around his fist or watever.  Im assuming that you are using fighter factory.

Edit: okay ive done that but my mugen still has errors

Winmugen.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close

The Elecbyte template's .AIR is fucked up. Don't use it.

Use KFM's .air instead.
