Over the last few months I've mentioned a lot of WIPs casually, but nothing formal. However, I'm breaking that habit. So for now, pretend that I never mentioned Toad/Rouga/Agito/Sanzou/Kouma/Heavy D' and let me show you something that I am shooting to have out before the year is out:MichaelangeloBasically there's a story of RAGE and JEALOUSY behind this one. Years ago, I was watching one of Shoshingo's combo videos, and I saw this really sweet-looking Michaelangelo in it, named "Michaelangelo+" which was arguably a trademark naming tradition for Pneophen. Later on, when Kung_Fu_Man was gathering all public Pneophen releases for hosting, I inquired about Michaelangelo, and it turned out it was a private release. As a result, now that I'm more familiar with coding, I decided that the best course of action is to make my own.The system is going to more or less follow the Tournament Fighters one with maybe a few other bonuses (ie: I just HAD to do this). The first screenshot demonstrates the backdash, which grants Michaelangelo complete invulnerable except on startup and finish. The second screenshot is just me fucking around with gaussian blur to make his projectile look more sexy.Suggestions on how to make this THE BEST MICHAELANGELO EVER?!Oh yeah palettes, knock yourself out.
What kind of gamepaly is he going to have?I think the TF gameplay is nice, but need to be spiced up a bit. Like adding superpauses, more supers, maybe some counter a la Alpha series...And to tell you the truth: I always wanted to try Pneo Michelangelo too ( and all is other private chars)...
More ground and air combo's maybe. A little CVS/MVC styled gameplay. Best example is D_Cat's TMNT Characters. Good TMNT Characters were needed. Also Tournament Fighters was really a game i enjoyed along with the TMNT beat em up games. Good luck with your Character my dear friend.
Him shooting things out of his mouth looks bloody weird and I wonder what Konami was thinking when they made him do that...Maybe justify it by having his intro showing him finding a glowing pizza on the floor and eating it or something.

In the original game, the most he could combo was three attacks (although some of his attacks hit multiple times). Despite the jokes I get about me being "Gay for Ren," Takagi is probably the favorite of all my characters just because I basically built him from the ground up (ie: ripped all of his sprites/sounds, coded most of him from scratch, etc). Raphael follows this same pattern, so maybe he'll take over from Takagi!Also nice to see a fan of Takagi for once (to be honest, I'm a little embarassed of Ren these days)

At the moment, I can't think of any edited moves I want to give to Mikey (save for the Makankosappo). The only "edit" I have in mind at the moment is to change the command for Dragon Breath to QCF instead of HCF, since it was way too easy to do accidentally do his Dynamite Bomber attack (Charge Back, then Forward+Punch). That being said, if you have ideas for original attacks, I'll at the very least listen to them.Also I'm a little uncomfortable with giving him a move where he summons the other turtles, due to "TIME PARADOX" and the like, and making a move he can't perform against certain characters is not to my liking.

It effectively shoots down that Time Paradox theory by revealing a multiverse with infinite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Yeah that's true, but it's just one of those things that would feel weird, especially since they are all in the game anyway. It would be like if I gave Ryu a Ken striker, or Clark a Ralph striker (oh wait)

Fucking around with Super Finish BGs. This one is from Super Street Fighter II Turbo Revival. Yes Pneophen already used it for his Juni+ so sue me.
After a while, I decided to go back to his old effects instead of edited shit for a number of reasons. Mainly because after playing through the game again, I really dig the aesthetics. Granted he'll still have the Super BG but by default he'll use his normal effects. He still gets the Makankosappo super tho, I edited that into TMNT estilio beam.However, since I already finished all the special effects, I'm going to make a special mode for that for people who want them.
He has an ending storyboard, so I guess I could use that. If you're talking about custom-making an intro that would explain why he's fighting Ryu/Super Mario/whoever, no. I usually just type those into my readme for fun.
Holy shit it's JangoCan't believe I didn't notice this earlier. Your Ren Idigawa was inspiring, so I'll be eager to see Mikey released.

No, that's the portrait for MuayThaiMugen's SF3 Double Impact lifebars, although that's just a placeholder while I look for something better (Takagi has a similar portrait, since good artwork of him is hard to find). Woohoo, made some progress!- Got some preliminary coding on Rolling Attack.- Yes, that is a Hakan palette with colors that I blatantly stole from the animated gif Rolento made.- Changed the Super BG to the one in Super Street Fighter II Turbo. Just take my word for it, I'm tired of screencapping the MAKANKOSAPPO since it's the only super I coded so far.Pending Aesthetic Decisions- Will be removing the SFIV sparks since they really don't match with the retro vibe I'm trying to do. Might go with SF2 ones or... Heaven forbid, the ACTUAL GAME'S HITSPARKS - A lot of the sounds are from SFIV, courtesy of P.o.t.S. and Drex. Debating onto whether I should change them since the sounds that I picked for Dragon Breath and Makankosappo sound quite sexy, and consistency is always important.Pending Gameplay Decisions- While I'm being an SSFIV whore, I've decided to make the original super in the game be a super, and make the Makankosappo as well as a third move (no I'm not telling you what it is, but I've already given some hints to it) I'm planning be Ultras. I'm too lazy to recreate the Revenge system in SSFIV (plus that destroys the simplicity aspect), so just know that they'll take up all of your power to use. Also like SSFIV, I'm going to only have one be available at a time. Currently debating between:A) config.txtB) Groove select prior to match. As much as I hate groove selects, this would probably be the most adaptable.C) Good ol' fashioned "Choose Palette 1-6 for Ultra 1, Choose Palette 7-12 for Ultra 2"Discuss.
If the groove select appears just during pre-intro/intro so that you can choose which Ultra you want, and then disappears to never appear again, then I prefer this method.
