NOTE: before you go telling me this is in the wrong section and should be in edits and addons, this is actuality not an edit. unlike with sonic and knuckles where i took mugenhunters characters and edited them, with tails i only took his sprites and put them in KFM. i decided to do this since i found some bugs in sonic and knuckles due to them still having leftover code from mugenhunters original. if i just take the sprites and use KFM's code as a base i don't have to worry about that.

i was going to release tails with the updates for sonic and knuckles, but i have been really slacking off with my characters recently, and since tails was about 95% finished. i thought it would be silly to postpone him just for a few extra things, and i needed some feedback on him anyway, so i decided to release a beta version of him.

please note that because this is a beta, not everything is finished or finalized yet. and there are still a couple of things missing.

what he has:
-Brand New readme format (i thought the old one was messy)
-all basic attacks (apart from command moves)
-all system attacks (apart from a backwards throw)
-Propeller Flight
-4 specials
-4 supers
-1 intro and win pose
-AI

what hes missing:
-a command move
-a backwards throw
-a lv3 super
-maybe a special
-Winquotes (i suck at these)
-special intros V.S my sonic and knuckles

hes about 95% finished, i would appreciate any feedback you have (thats the main reason im releaseing a beta of him)

Also, do you mind, if I will edit Tails's sprites for you?
While I liked MUGENHunter's sprites, it's actually iritating, that they have muscles, when they don't supossed to have them... (yep, I'm refering to the modern design...)

i REALLY hate that they have muscles as well, it was one of the things that put me off from creating him. so i don't mind at all if you edit the sprites, in fact i would actuality like it if you did :D

I'm going to try him out... Though sorry if my enthusiasm about it isn't like it was with Sonic & Knuckles... I really love what you did with S&K though, so if not for anything else, I can give ya some feedback. ;)

that's strange. i have tested him in winmugen and he works fine for me. are you sure your using the right def file?

Just finished the Sonic Portrait, I'll be uploading them soon and will send them to you Veanko :beam:
Also did a fix up on Tails' one a little, not really noticable though

^Nice.

His throw only hits once but displays a hitcount of two. However, he swipes his tail at the foe like 3 times, but they fall from the first tail swipe. So, all the others don't hit. IDK if this was intended, or you already know about it, was just letting you know. Other than that, he plays good to me. I honestly don't like Tails, but, you've done a great job on him. Just like the others. Nice work. I do get a kick out of the spring helper bouncing foes around though lol.

Also, sorta off topic... Well, it pertains to Sonic. There's some debug flood with his MAX Sonic Dash super...



Looking forward to how you handle Metal Sonic, along with the updates for Sonic and Knuckles. Once again, great job and thanks for the share. :)

Sweeeet!!  Sonic, Knuckles & Tails!  The game play looks slick in the vids. Animations all smooth as hell, and the spring pad is a very nice touch.  Can't wait to try this out!  Downloading now

@DivineWolf don't worry if you don't like tails too much, im not a huge fan of him ether. but if you really don't like him, you could just beat him up ;D

and about the throw: i think it has a hitcount of two because the grab itself counts as a hit for some reason(the same thing happens with knuckles). im not sure how to fix that, though its not really a big deal because its just a hit counter anyway. and i have never seen the foe get knocked down by the first tail swipe before(inless you kill the foe with it) every time i do it all 3 hit :S can you tell me who the target was as it may be a bug caused by certain character.

and i already knew about the sonic debug flood(i didn't know about it at release tho.)so that will be fixed when i update him

EDIT: I just found out that the first hit of the throw knocking the enemy down is a winmugen exclusive bug. i didn't test him a whole lot on winmugen so it slipped passed the gates.  this will be fixed

Ah, I was just about to post up some pics of it. :P Yeah, it must be Winmugen exclusive. Cool, just wanted you to know. Also, I may not like Tails, but I don't hate him or anything lol. I don't just want to have him in my roster, to wail on him. Anyway, once again great job. Question... Will you be replacing their big pics as well? Or just the small ones with Hyogo's pics? It'd be really cool to give them all better big pics as well.

i don't really have a problem with the big portraits they already have, though i might make alternative portraits seeing how the small and big portraits are inconsistent with one another, and that may bug a few people.

I'm really liking this Tails so far (I'm a big fan of Tails =D). Much like Sonic and Knuckles, he is very fun to use. And the fun little features like flying and the spring pad are great!

I'm looking forward to the complete version.

I think Veanko said he's only going to a few of them, so I wouldn't get your hopes up personally

You could send a E-mail asking for permission to use the sprites. Don't know how he would react to it though.
