Would you continue to play through the same game the girls did and still feel prideful, even after getting shut down by a 100 point margin? Can you still call yourself a man, an athelete and honestly say, "it's not about the points, I play for the love of the game?" :pwnonk:

I'd feel better like that rather than quitting. Forfeiting is loosing your self-esteem.

LOL, I played SC2 and DOA2 against a friend who played them competitively, and I never forfeited. Not loosing by a Perfect was already a "win" for me. ;P

And well, we then played Virtua Tennis 2 or PES, and not loosing 6-0 (in both games) was a victory for him. :P

If you accept to play in the first place, it's because you like it a minimum. If the opponent is stronger, he's stronger, acknowledge it and do your best.
I mean, I'm not going to forfeit in a boxe fight, because I'm not going to enter one in the first place, since I don't like it. Do you often see boxers who forfeit because they're being crushed ? No, they fight until they get KO'd, otherwise they're pussies.

I think boxing is a bad example :P

I have seen boxers forfeit, but in that case it's because they might get themselves killed if they continue; while it's hard to get yourself killed while playing videogames/basketball.

Wait a sec, now I figured it out: they're not bballers at all, they're masochists with slits between their hips. They're in it for the same thrill just like those who live for the thrill of battling it out against Rare Akuma. It's enthralling but you know you aren't going to win. Besides, you get tickled at how you get your ass kicked.  :P
