I have a whole slew of stage ideas that involve destruction. and amidst all of that, this came out.

Made to look like you were flying through a cloudy night sky on a pirate ship. awwwww, isn't that just magical? :P

Love the concept, looks like something I'd do. Go for it. :o

Will you (if even going ahead with it) add more details? Could use some.

That's very very nice. :)

Some ideas :
- Make the moon slowly grow during the fight, as f the ship was gatting closer and closer.
- Make the z-offset change, as the ship moves up and down.
- Other flying ship all around.

You want ships? I got your ships. :sugoi:

alas, the only way to show scale in this thing. Is to have an (dragonballz style) enormous dragon break through the bottom layer of clouds and rise up through the top layer, casting its own shadow that will drown out the light until the dragon itself is gone.

edit: oh yea, and have the Never ending story song playing.

 • Never give up
^ That could work. The Battle would happen only one time per round though.

this stage reminds me of the flight on the flying horse in god of war  :P
maybe you could add Kratos along fighting with the flying enemies...damn if only I could help, this is not the right period for me to do some spriting...if this is too annoying to achieve on your own

btw where can I find that damn Cloud, I tend to lose track of things a bit nowadays

Z Sabre User/Panda.

InterRage: Is that alas about not being able to scale the ships? 'Cause they work fine enough just flying by the main ship's (floor) side.

Not about the ships, more the background itself.
I'm using certain video games draw distances as a reference. and even though you can't achieve that unless you use 3d. I'm thinking about just trying to recreate that by using layers, just so it LOOKS like things are far off in the distance. If anything, it's just a nitpick.
