Hey!
So, there are plenty of anime lovers/otaku's in the Mugen comunity, but it seems anime don't get too much love in Mugen, except for DBZ of course

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who'd love to see Naruto and Goku beating the shit out of each other, or Ichigo, or Spike Spiegel, or Edward Elric, or Hei, or Mikasa Ackerman!

I could go on all day, my point is, Mugen should have more anime chars, isn't anyone willing to sprite any of these? Or code?

There's definitely enough coders around, sprites is the problem. Unless you've got 500 or so bucks to spare. It aint happening

thing is there might already be sprites of some characters floating around too

there's an entire hana no keiji fighting game for the snes and there's some jump ultimate stars sprites for edajima heihachi for instance

sooner or later, everybody puts up with xiangfei

I'm also under the impression that people keep neglecting data from the game, do you guys know how PotS made his original characters? He actually studied every single game he referenced, down to the core. Doing this properly requires understanding how the original system was made, not just winging it.

The problem is there's so few well done sprites of anime (the rest is stuff done by third-rate groups).

I think it is possible to have more anime in mugen, but it'd take time for it to be done effectively. The DBZ-Mugen fandom is lucky to have the Cybaster-Balthazar duo be as committed as they are (with pixel work as a bonus).

Someone was doing a project with pre-rendered sprites of Naruto (they canceled it), but that didn't catch fire (like most things). It also looked too "3d" but that's personal taste Also, it was being done in 1.0, so color loss was evident.

I just want a well done version of Kotonoha.

How the characters would be coded is important too. I'd have some ideas (and by ideas I mean ripoff ArcSys), but it would also be important to maintain the personality of their source.

I don't actively strive to look for anime characters or even really enjoy anime much anymore, and yet my roster is 90% anime-oriented. :-\ (Then again, containing pretty much the entire cast of DBZ, Sailor Moon, Yu Yu Hakusho and Rurouni Kenshin doesn't help)

If you're looking for something that hasn't translated to the 2D fighting field already, then Websta pretty much already summed up the issue here.

Not to be pessimistic, but I'm sure that for the majority of whatever it is you wish to see, those who wish to see it as well that would be willing to do it for free will likely end up with a sub-par end result, while those who have more talent in this field know so and have their price labeled for this.  Comes down to how much you're willing to pay, in money or quality.

Or you could always try it all from scratch yourself.  Results may vary.

Nope, it plays like shit and isn't compatible with Kuromaru and friends, so your comment is invalid (I mean, Imari comes from a hentai series, minimum she could have some compatibility with Kuro)

Also, I would like a lot Spike Spiegel, probably edited from K'. If i could sprite or code (or both) him, probably I would do it. Also Outlaw Star's Gene Starwind or Twilight Suzuka

We more Attack on Titan in M.U.G.E.N. I've been able to find Zilch for AoT, and it's making me sad.

There's no games for AoT yet so we can't really convert anything :P
Somebody could do sprite edits and stuff but everyone's already busy with their current projects. Just give it time, I'm sure somebody will make some AoT stuff in a few years.

To make a good AOT game, the best would be to do a 3D adventure type game. A fighting game would be extremely disappointing.

I know that feel brother. I just got restationed across country, but once I get settled, I'll be working on my spriting (Before I work my way up to creating my own characters, with a focus on the missing anime characters)
