hope it is a reboot cuse if they make a sequel who know what might happen?.....Marval and Disney vs Mortal Kombat?  I would realy hate to see Noir vs Mickey.

Just because MK had a crossover game with DC doesn't make EVERY fucking game after it a goddamn crossover game. >:(

Not trying to say that it going to be a cross over but have you played Mortal Kombat Armageddon the universe got messed up and they didnt realy fix it in MK8 (DC) it just was a joke

ummm sorry but i was trying to make a joke  :P  they've make a weird choice  with dc they shound have did street fighter in my opinion. Ryu vs Sub-Zero would have been a good fight or maybe even Tekken Jin vs Scorpion

Looks like a remake of MK:Trilogy then.

MK Trilogy was just UMK3 with old stages , some older versions of characters in the psx version and some moves more.

The New Game tells the Story from Part 1-3 and will probably change the "history" or "canon" of the old MK games. Hopefully with the goal to get the whole story fixed

the story of mk-3 was pretty solid, dunno what they want to change, they will probably just try to make it better, but there really are not that many plotholes to fix.

I think Johnny Cage's new look is a parody of modern fighting films (Neverback Down, Redbelt) where white fighters have urban appeal. That and Luke Cage from his MAX comics appearance.

That's pretty much what I was thinking. It was the later games that brought in all the plotholes.

Still though, I am digging the thought of a story mode that covers all of MK's 1-3, and hopefully seeing exactly who fought who, and who defeated who.

Btw, correct me if I'm wrong, but was MK:SM considered non-canon?

It would be cool and all if they're fixing the storyline to fix some plotholes and stuff.......but then you would still be having the chessey plot in the later Mortal Kombat games :/

If you guys didn't know the MK studio that got taken over by Warner Bros changed their name to NetherRealm Studios.. Heres the logo looks pretty sick..

Nah, Not remake MK4-8 (In fact, I like MK4 as it is 0_o) Like include story elements in the story from the later games (foreshadowing, changing some characters ect. ect.)
