Mortal Kombat 9 : 1.1 VERSION RELEASED !

-  Version : MUGEN 1.0 and MUGEN 1.1
-  Resolution : 1280x720 (if it's too laggy, switch to 640x360)

I made template files for all the portraits type (.png and .psd file) they are situated in the "templates" folder in the main mugen directory.
If you want to add your own characters to the screenpack, the numbers for the portraits are :

9000,0 : Little portrait
9000,1 : Character select portrait
9000,2 : VS portrait
9000,3 : In-game portrait
9000,4 : Tag team portrait

When you'll put yours in the .sff of your character, make sure the position is in 0,0.

And remember it's a SCREENPACK so IT DOES NOT COME WITH THE CHARACTERS.
I said that because a lot of people ask me for fatalities, 3D chars etc... A screenpack is only a graphic template, not a game !

Looking pretty promising from the screenshots, but its a shame you aren't doing a 640x480 version. Not everyone can run in 1280x720, even if they wanted to.

Also, how is the powerbar going to be translated into MUGEN? Is each minor level going to represent 1 power stock, or are you just sticking with one bar?

A suggestion: for the V.S. screen, you could go the classic route and use the steel backround from MK3/4...

Looking good so far. Can't wait to see the finished result. (even though I can't actually get it.)

As a huge MK fan, I really like the direction you're going.

However, from a visual standpoint, it would be senseless to make an amazing screenpack in HD and have low resolution character sprites. Check out this post to see how an HD character should be done:

Scorpion by Gabe87 looks splendid in HD. Maybe the two of you could collaborate on this project as I see serious potential here.

There should be a Saikoro plugin for Photoshop.

Oh, I mean I use 640x480 because I can't run 1280x720 for all hell. Personally, it looks better than 1280x720.

Not gonna lie i'd love to see kratos in that select screen  8)
But it looks pretty legit from the screens keep up the good work!  :sugoi:

It's true that the characters are really ugly compared to the graphics  :S

I'm not really a character maker, so I'll have to wait until someone made some HD Mk sprites  ;P

Btw, I was going to abandon the project, because I thought no one will be interested. On the MK Project forum, it was not really a success lol
But now that I see some people interested, I'm problably going to work on it back !

Don't abandon it!! It sucks manning the entire project yourself. Perhaps you could make just a screenpack instead of porting over every character. You are in a good spot to go either way here. Don't quit!!

I was thinking about delete the Jace Hall intro, because it takes too much place in the game (i think it's over 300 mo)

Just in case you get few coders, you could at least try find suitable images to try code stages.
But try study stage tutorials, the one made by Cybaster is pretty useful.

NOTE : I am now going back to high school, that means I have to spend a lot of time on my homeworks and also means that I got to pause the project for now. I could work on it during my free time but I cannot guarantee anything.

Anyway, Is Awesome!

Ok so i PMed  Maxi619 and he said that the Project is still alive  :downsbravo: and there has been some progress made on it he is redoing some stuff its going really good he didin't tell me when it is going to done 100% but i think it will be done  someday this year i don't know really but some decent progress will be done  ;D
