ATTENTION EVERYONE! Jermaine Kidd's Coded characters (like Shinnok and Kotal Kahn) only work on Borg's 4.1 Mortal kombat mugen engine. DOWNLOAD HERE http://mkpnew.thedarkside.su/UserFiles/ContentFiles/2016-3-7_12-5-23_MKPseason2-07032k16.rar

trying to get all the sprite work and animation done, then He's all in ya'll hands. use him for Mortal Kombat Project or Mugen. It doesn't matter................... 11/27/15 Finished sprites

I'm liking the progress done in here so far. I'm just concerned about his belt and the cloth hat hands in it during the crouch turn animation, given that they seem to flip rather oddly, rather than staying mostly in place when changing from left to right.

Aside from what MotorRoach said, this screams old Mortal Kombat graphics, and Quan Chi Shinnok is one of my fave villains of all time. Wish you noting but the best of luck. ^_^

wait what, its shinnok he's spriting tho, not Quan Chi :P

I like what i see so far, I just wish he wasn't so stiff in his walking anims, thats my problem with most MK edits, they usually leave the upper body static :S

Yeah I delete the last comment a made because I didn't want to double post (maybe I should've just edit instead :P). I Told MotorRoach, "Thanks a lot man and I'll have more updates coming soon". some in that sense :).

You're not the first to get quan chi and shinnok mixed up :D
About the crouch turn, that's just an animation malfunction :P. I mixed up the frame wrong.  I'll release a sprite sheet as soon as I'm done halfway.
and his walk... yeah I know :P I'm going to redo his walk completely in the future. That's like all the MK character sprites when it comes to the walk. their upper by just stays still.

No need to apologize for double posting. It should be fine as long as you have new content to show, and new Shinnok animations are no exceptions. Also, really liking how this is going.

Well outside of trade school and studying, I'd use my love far art in mugen and MK projects. And you Walrushi and MotorRoach :)

you'll use your love of art for us? lol im sure thats just an error in your sentance but its fine.

im really liking how you just started too, like holy crap, nobody just pops in like that, asks about some spriting advice then BAM starts up a WIP all of a sudden and has some nice anims, you keep this up and you;ll be a fantastic artist for sure.

I mostly learn Lows90 style in the MK mugen community. He taught me some stuff then I just learn about the lighting effect on the characters on my own. It can be a bit tedious, but it's pretty easy when you do it enough

Now I'm thinking of borg117's MKP update, specially since he's now adding in new characters to the roster.

Says he that he'll add any MK character as long as there are decent sprites prepared for them, so you could let him know of your Shinnok, given that it seems that it'd fit in pretty well, and actually looks really professional so far!

not only that but this opens the doors for sprite conversions to a possible CvS/KOF style Shinnok. sprites look awesome dude.

To be honest, I prefer the left one. The lighting on the right one feels like something you would quickly add with a Photoshop filter, and it feels unfitting to MK sprites. So yeah, the left animation is what I prefer in here.

Yeah, his left foot (the one on our right) certainly slides a little bit too much. You might want to try keeping it a little more still.
